USS Steadfast

Deela prayed that this would work. She looked over at Phoenix and nodded to her.

"Just so we're clear? If tha ship pops a knickknack or two? Not my fault," Phoenix noted as she began to plot the micro jump. This is only slightly crazier than the Picard Maneuver, in that the QSD was involved.

Deela spoke in an exasperated voice, "Phoenix!"

Quan shook his head at Phoenix's antics, if anything was going to upset the admiral, messing about was odds on. He, on the other hand, was feeding whatever information his trackers could provide to Ramata'tar down in the transporter room so that when the beam out happened it would be as quick as possible. He looked over his shoulder, "Colonel, do you have an escape route programmed in? If this goes to plan we need to be away from here PDQ".

"We're using the QSD... I don' think we'll get very far if tha engines blow but I got an exfil vector set," Phoenix shrugged.

"Mr. Quan, have engineering standing by in case they do...blow...as Phoenix here says." Deela stood up, "It's now or never Phoenix. Proceed."

Quan turned towards the Admiral. "Engineering is on full alert, Admiral. I have the full crew down there, ready whenever you are, Colonel."

IKS JaqHoq

Toral looked at Solomon one last time as his prisoner hung before him. He had told him enough to want to tempt a return to Virimonde, but not alone. The JaqHoq had taken damage and he wanted several other ships with him for the return trip.

"Don't worry, We'll be return there, once I have greater knowledge and numbers," Toral warned. "Your time will soon be up Solomon as will hers."

Jack managed a grin. "Thats fine with me, the hospitality in this place has worn off on me. Besides, as soon as I'm free, I owe you a beating... Solomon style."

Toral laughed heavily as he nodded to one of the guards before he left the interrogation room. The guard brought in a bucket of water and a sponge and moved over to Talia. He released her from her bonds and nodded at Solomon. Once he was gone, Talia looked at Jack as she wetted the sponge. She looked over his bruises and began trying to clean any visible wounds. After all the years she had pained him, Talia was still impressed as Jacks wit under pressure.

"You really don't know when to quit beloved do you?" She began. "Will your Starfleet friends really come for you?"

"Of course. I'm lucky enough to have some good friends out there, as I did on the Wildcat... Things change though... That Klingon is still gonna get get a good whoopin!" He grimaced as she cleaned his wounds. Jack looked at Talia straight in the eyes. He still had a burning question to ask her.

"Answer me honestly. Is everything on that PADD that you used to have me and the rest of your party beamed up?" he asked.

Talia stroked his face before dousing the sponge and tending to another wound. "Yes... Yes it is, it's all on there. A full confession in writing and a full media file of the confession from Agent Milano that confirms you were setup by Section 31," Talia confirmed to him. "Call it my present and my way of making an apology to you...the beginning of a long and plentiful apology," she explained. "Now return the favour beloved and answer me honestly... Will your Starfleet friends come for us?"

"You bet your arse they will...and they'll do it with some style too. Just be ready to go at a moments notice... They are experts at improvising on the hop," Jack answered.

USS Steadfast

"Party Gods save me," Phoenix smirked as she engaged the QSD.

It was not a long jump, but the ship did jerk rather violently and sparked here and there when Phoenix popped the ship out of slipstream just as quickly and fully stopped. A perfect setup for a perfect shot.

Quan's console sparked and blew a couple of panels out. Covering his face with his arms he jumped back from the console. "Ouch! " he looked at his console, "Oh dear, now there's a thing". He waved away the smoke eminating from the console, then tapped his com badge, "Quan to Engineering, report".

"We've blown a power coupling down here, but are bypassing it now. Apart from that we're just getting rid of the smoke. Give us one minute and you'll have QSD back online, Lt."

Quan moved to an adjacent console and was bringing up the engineering controls, "Understood. But keep at it. Quan out". He sat back down and double checked the power to the Transporters, shields and weapons. "Colonel, please don't do that again! Admiral, we're still operational."

Deela nodded to Quan and then turned to Phoenix, "Let's finish this."

Transporter Room

Once the shaking stopped, the nervous Transporter Tech looked up at Ramata’tar and nodded. The Jem’Hadar First tapped his commbadge, “Ramata’tar to Bridge, Admiral we have a transporter look on the occupants in the room with two Human life signs. Transporting now.”

As Ramata’tar pulled his phaser he watched five figures started to materialize on the pad. Three of them were Klingons and as the initial surprise wore off, two of them turned, drew their d’k taghs, and rushed toward the Jem’Hadar. Ramata’tar fired quickly, stunning them both, but the third remained close to Solomon and the woman. He pulled his blade and put it to her neck.

“Send me back to my ship, or she dies!” Toral barked.

Tapping his commbadge again, “Ramata’tar to Bridge, Admiral please come to the Transporter Room.”

It took a moment for Jack to realise he was on the transporter pad on the Steadfast before he saw Toral put the blade to Talia's neck. That was the breaking point in Jack as he felt his anger finally boil over. Jack threw himself into Talia, knocking her back against the wall and off the pad. As Toral stumbled for a second, Jack righted himself and then threw his head up into Toral's chin with as much force as possible, headbutting his chin with the back of his head.

As the Klingon recovered slightly, Jack then threw his hardest punch at Toral's face. He cried out in pain as well as he felt his punch connect and the pain that followed. "I TOLD YOU!!! A SOLOMON STYLE BEATING!" He cried out as Toral steadied himself.

Toral took the beating that Solomon gave him and controlled his stumbles as best he could. After taking the hit to his face, Toral grinned as he pulled out his disruptor and fired a shot aimed Talia. The shot connected with her abdomen and she cried out in anguish. Toral looked at Solomon as he went to press his combutton on his sleeve. "This is just the beginning! Today will not be forgotten Solomon!!" He declared before pressing the combutton and disappearing in a transporter beam.

Jack crawled over to Talia and looked up at Ramata’tar. "Medic!"

Deela arrived at the transporter room just in time to see Toral disappear. She moved quickly towards Solomon and kneeled down, checking to see if Talia was still alive. She stood up, "T'Lar to sickbay, we have a medical emergency." With the comm still open, she called to the Transporter Tech, "Beam her directly to sickbay."

Sickbay acknowledged her, "We have her."

Deela put her hand on Solomon's shoulder, "Go. Report to sickbay." She felt that Solomon needed to be there right now. His report could wait. She touched her combadge, "T'Lar to bridge. Let's go home."
