IKS JaqHoq

"Decloak the ship and bring our weapons to bear on that Federation Starship!" Toral ordered as the bridge crew moved to follow his orders. "Take us out of orbit and then set a course out of the system at high warp! I want them left behind!" He yelled. Toral took a look at his prisoners as they were wheeled towards the Bridge doors.

Jack looked back at Toral, feeling his anger rising. His time with Talia would come and he could tell she wasn't a willing participant in this capture, but he wanted to know more. "By the way! That may be a small starship, but the crew is one of the best in Starfleet...or should I say Admiral Bremer's best..." He taunted.

Toral sneered at Solomon's taunt but the mention of Bremer made his blood boil. Knowing he had one of Bremer's Officers made this all the better. "BAGH!" he yelled at the Tactical Officer who fired several photon torpedoes at the Steadfast.

USS Steadfast

By the time the IKS JaqHoq decloaked, the Steadfast's weapons were already en route to them and their shields were up and ready. T'Lar watched on with an intense look on her face as the IKS JaqHoq took a hit.

Quan watched his engineering screens, but couldn't help a quick glance at the main screen as the torpedoes slammed into the unshielded hull of the JaqHoq. Seeing the torpedoes streaking towards the Steadfast he automatically pumped all available power into the forward shields and braced for impact.

“They have taken damage, but they are transferring power to their warp engines.” Ramata’tar reported. About the same time, the Steadfast shook from the impact of the Klingon’s torpedoes.

“Our shields are holding at eighty-seven percent Admiral, but that last torpedo damaged our targeting scanners. I cannot get a target lock, or lock on to beam Lieutenant Solomon back aboard.” Ramata’tar added.

T'Lar cursed under her breath.

IKS JaqHoq

As the starship shuddered under the impact of weapons fire from the Steadfast and Toral held on to his command chair. He knew he had an advantage but he didnt want to risk losing to a Starfleet vessel and losing his prize. He glared at the helm officer. "Take us to warp now!!!" He yelled.

Jack looked at the viewscreen as he watched the Virimonde system disappear as the ship jumped to warp and he internally felt his will drop a little. Now he was stuck on board a Klingon Battle cruiser, manned by Klingon Officers and Warriors as well as being kept company by his scheming ex-girlfriend. This just really wasn't going how he planned it.

Toral stood up and walked over to both of his prisoners. "Now that we have left your Federation friends behind, we have a small matter to discuss," Toral sneered. "Take them both to interrogation!" He ordered. Several officers came over and moved both Jack and Talia from the bridge and down several decks to the interrogation chamber.

"Be prepared Beloved, he wants information," Talia warned.

Jack looked at her. "Trust me, I'm very opened minded and prepared for the unexpected..." he answered back sharply.

USS Steadfast, Bridge

“Admiral, they have gone to warp.” Ramata’tar stated the obvious . “I do have them on sensors, they are leaking antiprotons from a damaged power relay. I can track them.”

"T'Lar turned to Ramata'tar, "Good. Go to warp and follow them but stay out of weapons range for now." She then looked over at Quan, "Lt. Quan, the targeting scanners, can they be repaired?"

Quan was busy at his console as the Admiral spoke to him. He stood up and headed for the turbolift, addressing the Admiral as he went. "Yes, Admiral. The shields protected the scanner arrays but the power surge took out several relays and a power coupling. I'm heading for engineering, I'll be able to give you a timescale for repairs when I can see the damage."

Phoenix plotted the pursuit course as ordered, and listened intently to the conversation.

"We could spool the QSD for a micro jump an' drop a subspace mine or two in front of them to pull them out of warp," Phoenix suggested.

Ramata'tar smirked at Phoenix's suggestion, he liked the idea.

This was exactly why they were chosen to accompany Solomon. Deela smiled for the first time in a while, "Smart thinking Phoenix. As soon as the targeting scanners are repaired, proceed." Deela scanned the room for a moment, then sat down on the edge of her seat.

"You'd be amazed what all ideas I come up with after a good romp in tha sack," Phoenix winked to Deela.

Ramata’tar glanced up at Phoenix, “Romp? In a sack? What is a romp and why would you be doing it in a bed?”

"Sex, Ramara'tar... I have sex a lot. It gives me ideas," Phoenix said, barely keeping a straight face.

IKS JaqHoq, Interrogation Chamber

Jack hung down from the rig connected to the ceiling, strapped into a pair of cuffs that just allowed his feet to touch the floor. Talia was chained to the wall opposite him and she just kept looking at the floor in sadness. Jack turned his head to look at her.

"So, are you going to tell me the real story? What's actually going on here?" He asked her.

Talia looked at him with tears in her eyes. "I was trapped in the Klingon prison on Rura Penthe. One of the guards knew of me and my league of warriors, his brother was a member and the guard knew of my hunt for the Grail that both you and my father know of," she explained. "In exchange for my freedom, I promised Toral that I would give him the one person who could deliver the artifact..."

"Me," Jack answered. He understood now why she'd done this.

"Beloved, he has already sentenced me to death. In my veins lies dormant, a toxin, that on his command can be activated and it will end my life in 13 minutes. Please believe me, I didn't want this...after all you've been through, I didn't want to hurt you any further," she admitted to him.

Jack could tell in his gut that this was a much different, almost broken Talia before him, who as fighting for her life as well as his own. His anger softened a little, but it still raged on inside of him. "Well then, I guess that means I'll have to give him what he wants. The Steadfast won't give up on me Talia, I have good friends and Officers on 400 that will do anything to get me back," he explained to her, hoping his words would give her some hope. "They'll come for us both."

The doors to the chamber snapped open and Toral walked in, clapping his hands and laughing. "Such bravery from a human who will soon be dead," he sneered.

"The night is young...And full of surprises..." Jack promised.

Steadfast Engineering

Quan ran into the engineering section and had to wave away the smoke from damaged equipment. "Report!", he snapped as he made his way to the nearest console.

His number 2 Lt Roger Evans, shouted from across the room "We have the power coupling out and the relays are being bypassed. We will have the scanners back in five minutes."

Quan listened then tapped his comm badge, "Quan to Bridge, we will have the scanners back online in 5 minutes or less". He then ran across the room to help with repairing the power coupling.

"Let me know the second you finish. Then get yourself back on the bridge." Deela proudly stated, "Phoenix has a plan."

Less than two minutes later, Quan tapped his comm badge, "Admiral, you have targeting scanners back online." He watched as the engineers closed up the covers, then spoke to the second engineer. "Roger, you better get those bypassed relays replaced. We need everything working 100%. This is going to get worse before it gets better." As soon as he finished talking to Roger he was running back to the bridge.

Steadfast, Bridge

"I figure drop tha mines an' full stop. That'll cause our quarry to shoot past us before they're forced to a stop as well. An' 'at will line 'em up for a clear shot at their engines," Phoenix announced. "That'll have to be timed perfectly, cause we can' beam him back if we don' drop their power for even a moment."

“We might not have time to get solid transporter locks on individuals, however I can beam all of the personnel out of the room Lieutenant Solomon is in.” Ramata’tar reported.

All Deela wanted was to get Solomon back without injury and if there was a chance to get a few Klingons as well, she was onboard. Without hesitation, "I am putting my faith in the both of you. Proceed." She looked at both of them, "We only have one chance, so make it good. T'Lar to Security. Gather a security team and meet me in Transporter Room 1...immediately." As she headed for the lift, "Quan, you have the con."

Quan had arrived on the bridge a minute before the Admiral had given him the conn. His mind was suddenly a whirl and he barely heard himself saying, "Very Good, Admiral". When he finally returned to his senses he was on the verge of sitting down in the centre seat. His mind briefly went back to the time not so long ago when Captain Clifford caught him sitting in the centre seat on the Princeton.

He looked around the bridge at the officers at their stations. He looked at Ramata'tar, "When it all happens, it is your call when you beam over off the Klingon ship. He turned back towards the front addressing Phoenix, "The same goes for you Colonel, it is your call when we drop the mines and come to dead stop. Everyone else look sharp, when this happens it will happen fast. "

With that he shut up and let the crew carry out the rescue mission.

Ramata’tar nodded, then looked toward T’Lar. “Admiral T’Lar, it might be wise for me to be in the transporter room at the time of the beam in incase any of the Klingons need to be, calmed down.”

Deela spoke with her voice elevated, "Ramata'tar, I am per..." she paused, observing him for a brief moment to compose herself. "We'll talk about this later. Go." She glanced around the room for a moment before sitting in her seat.

The Jem'Hadar nodded and headed for the Transporter Room. He wasn't sure why the Admiral seemed annoyed...

IKS JaqHoq, Interrogation Chamber

"Tell me where the Grail is!!!!"

Toral swung another right hook at Jack to loosen his tongue and try to get him to talk. Jack hung from his captive rig as he took the punishment from the Klingon. After the last impact, he coughed up some blood and spat it out. He followed that up with a grin.

"If that's the best you have for a Klingon, I'm already looking forward to putting you down when I get free...besides if I told you where it was, you wouldn't what to do with it," he quipped.

Toral punched him in the gut as he aimed to get him to talk. "TELL ME WHAT I WANT TO KNOW!!" He yelled at him.

Jack looked up and squarely looked him in the eye. "Fine...you want it, you can have it, seeing as your going to kill us anyway..," Jack began. "In fact, you've already seen one part of it... The Sword of Kahless itself," he explained stopping for a moment. Toral stopped and listened intently suddenly.

"What? That's the Universal device that gives power over all?" The tall Klingon asked. Even Talia looked at him stunned. For years she had been searching herself and now she had heard this, she felt relieved that it was something she would never find.

"Yes it is. Years ago, Dr. Rendar and I found an ancient Bolian text that describes how a Xeno-Archaeologist discovered that if the Sword of Kahless was melted down into the Grail Cup from Earth and then combined with the Stone Of Gol from Vulcan, it offered control over the DNA of all species, allowing total domination over all sentient species... But if the Sword were found again, anyone with half a brain would want to rule the Klingon Empire instead," Jack finished.

Toral pulled Jack's head back to him in a firm grip. "Where is the Sword!!! I will find these artefacts and combine them to rule the Universe as I am destined to do!" He exclaimed.

Jack smirked. "Do a U-turn. I have it hidden on Virimonde." Toral slammed his fist against the rig as he heard the answer. "Once repairs are complete, I'll call your bluff. However if you have misled me, I will kill you and the woman!" Toral promised.

Steadfast, Transporter Room One

"Ramata'tar to Bridge, I am ready."

Deela looked over at Phoenix, "Phoenix, proceed. Ramata'tar, stand ready."

"All righty... QSD online folks?" Phoenix asked to the ops and engineering people on the bridge.
