Marine Briefing Room
After the Adimiral's Mission Briefing, Jackson met Major T'Lyn, Sergeant Major Pepper, Major Pepper, Master Sergeant Duval, Chief Aquila, and the other Marine officers and senior NCOs in their own briefing room. Third Regiment was already on alert, and loading troops and equipment onto the Saratoga.
"Okay, you all heard the Warning Order. I am going to make this quick. Major T'Lyn, I need your Third Regiment on that ship ASAP. Full battle rattle. When we get there, designate two of your companies for Search and Rescue even though they probably will establish a perimeter around the settlements, and just to be safe, designate a third company, along with weapons company for Quick Reaction Force."
"Understood sir," T'Lyn stated looking at him.
"Major Pepper, squeeze one of your Armored Companies on that ship. We will figure out how to utilize them on location, but initialy plan on supporting Major T'Lyn in securing a perimiter around both settlements."
"Chief Aquila, I want two MARSOC teams with us. If needed, Master Sergeant Duvall can lead one of them, but for the time being, he can conduct his Third Regiment duties on the ground. "
Giaus answered, "Yes Sir."
Duval meanwhile was taking notes as he nodded his head, he clearly had heard what the Colonel was saying. "Third Battalion will be ready to go Colonel." he responded in his usual growl.
"Sergeant Major Pepper, you are going to stick with me on the ship for now. With Major T'Lyn on the ground, I will need a good right hand."
"Phoenix will have a flight on board with us. Let it be known that they will be running on their own program. If she needs any kind of tech support, we will give it to her."
"We got fighter techs coming aboard that are certified in repair and ordinance arming," Phoenix reminded the lot from a PADD she was studying. Latest flow patterns from this ominous system they were traveling to."
"Thank you Phoenix", Jackson continued, "Now since the Saratoga's shuttles are geared up for landing operations already, they will already have those extra transporter buffers. While in transit, I want our marines and shuttle drivers to study the terrain features of this planet. It's going to be a crowded ship, but we've been in that situation many times. Also, I want the units that are remaining on the station to go on Condition 3 upon the Krazzle leader's arrival. Those guys see a show of force as a turn on, or something. Any Questions?"
Duval as usual cut to quick. "Colonel, how long before we ship out?" he inquired.
Based on briefing time, I estimate departure time to be about 1045hrs. I would prefer to be loaded up in thirty minutes.
Duval mearly raised one eyebrow but otherwise did not move. "It'll be done."
"Now before we start boarding, keep in mind that this system sits right in view of the Krazzle's front yard. Us being there might piss them off. For the time being, be advised that the ground Marine's Rules of Engagement is Pichard 2, meaning do not fire unless fired upon, but weapons loaded. Now that being said, pack for a combat mission, but hope for a Search and Rescue Mission. Now let's get cracking."
