Jewel and David were enjoying there honeymoon, it was something they both needed after the events that had taken place. They decided that they wanted to do some rock climbing. Jewel was just going to watch as she couldn't really participate due to her being pregnant. But she wanted David to do what he wanted to do first then they would do what she wanted to do later.

As David was climbing he didn't use safety gear like Jewel insisted on. But he was stubborn and nothing she said would change his mind. "David your going to get hurt you need the safety gear on!" Jewel stated sturnly. "I will be fine, it won't be the same trill with the safety gear on." David stated looking at her. Jewel just rolled her eyes.

David started climbing and halfway to the top a rock gave way and down he came. "David!" Jewel yelled as he hit the ground hard. She ran over to him to find that his was badly injured. He was still breathing she tapped her combadge. "Brig General Hurd to Starfleet Medical I have an emergency I am transmitting our coordinate I need a site to site transport immediately." Jewel stated.

"This is Starfleet Medical we have your coordinates and are transporting now." The Medical Officer stated as they both appeared in there hospital. They began to work on David while Jewel sat outside and waited. After a while a doctor came out. "He is very lucky he didn't snap his neck," he replied. "He has a sevearly injured his lower part of his body it will take alot of physical thearpy. He will have to learn to walk again. Right now he is stable and in surgery to repair his bones." The Doctor replied, Jewel sighed as she looked down. "I told him to use safety gear while climbing but he was stubborn and refused.

The doctor just nodded, "Just be thankful he is alive." He added as he then headed off. Jewel just spend the next several hours waiting to hear news of the surgery.
