Mission 86 - Discovery

Timeline: MD2 0800hrs - Honeymoon
Lee and Alex arrived on Risa. They walked into the place they were going to stay at. Expecting to go straight to their room, there was a hiccup in their plans. They introduced themselves.
"I'm afraid that the rooms are all booked. We do have one room left if you wouldn't mind waiting. We'd like to offer you anything you'd like in our bar on us. We should have your room ready shortly."
Alex sighed as she held her tongue. She looked around, noting that it wasn't as busy as you'd assume with the place booked up.
Lee glared at the front desk person:"You gave away our reservation. I am not very happy about that." He shook his head as they headed for the bar.
"I don't get it." Alex looked around, "How can they be fully booked? It's not like this place is crowded or anything."
Lee looked at Alex:"Relax Imzadi, everything will get straighten out."
"I'm sorry. It's my nature to be suspicious. I really need to keep my job and my personal life separate.
He put his arm around her and kissed her cheek:"It's ok Imzadi things happen. Shall we get a drink?"
"It's on them so hell yeah." She walked to the lounge and approached the bar. The bartender smiled at her, "Welcome to Risa. Can I get you both something to drink?"
Alex sat on the bar stool, "How knowledgeable are you on Earth drinks?" He smiled again, "You name it and I can make it. If I can't, I will look it up." Alex smiled back, "A Long Island Tea sounds good." The bartender nodded, "Then a Long Island Tea it'll be. How about you sir?"
Lee sat down on the stool:"I think that I will take a Klingon bloodwine." The bartender nodded and headed off.
The bartender brought both of them their drinks. She thanked him and took a sip from her glass. "Once we get in our room and unpack, let's get something to eat. I am starving."
Lee nodded as he took a sip of bloodwine:"Sounds good to me."
"So, how is your drink Mr. Pike? Mine is actually pretty good." She looked around, "I have to say that this place is nice. It beats our quarters anyday."
He smiled:"It's pretty good, would you like to try it?" Lee offers her the cup.
Alex looked at him, then at his drink. She never had bloodwine and wasn't sure if she wanted to. She looked at Lee one more time and shrugged, "Okay, why not." She took his glass and took a sip. She wasn't quite sure what she thought about it even though her scrunched up face told a different story.
Lee sat there and watched her and gave a slight chuckle:"Bloodwine isn't too bad, it's something you have to get use to."
"Um, yeah, it does." She shivered a little, "I guess that's not my forte. I will stick with the common Earth beverages." She took another sip of hers, "Most definately." The waiter slid some nuts across the bar with a smile. Alex smiled back.
They were approached by the man at the front desk, "Hi, I just wanted to apologize for the wait. We have your room ready. If you will follow me."
Lee glared at the man:"About time."
Alex stood up and began to follow the man but then turned at the last minute and grabbed the dish of nuts. She chuckled, "What? I might want a snack in the middle of the night."
Lee just shook his head as they followed the front desk person.
They were led to a room towards the back of the Inn. The door opened up to reveal a dinette and a den. The bedroom was in the back. Their bags were set down and the man thanked them again for waiting. He observed them for a moment, noticing that they were human, "If you want breakfast, there is place across the way that makes great omelets, if that is something that you fancy. A little farther down, there are various other kinds of food. Enjoy your stay." He left them standing there in the room. Alex picked up her bag and took it into the bedroom.
Lee glared at the guy as he left before walking over to the door and locking it then heading to stretch out on the bed:"Finally we can relax."
Alex joined him by jumping on the bed and laying next to him, "I could get used to this."
He smiled:"So can I." He then put his body on top of her's kissing her deeply.
"What the hell? Dinner can wait." Alex grinned.
