Captured Part 1

Mission: Mission 86 - Discovery
Location: Risa/Inn/Undisclosed Place
Timeline: MD2 0900hrs - Honeymoon

ON: Alex and Lee's room next morning...getting ready to leave for breakfast...


Alex got dressed quickly so that they could make their breakfast reservation. She picked up a pocket knife, one that she kept concealed, as protection wherever she went. She was distracted and set it down, forgetting to pick it back up. She joined Lee, "The guy in the front said that this place makes the best omelets. I haven't had a good omelet in years."

Lee stood there waiting for her and smiled:"Yea it has been awhile since had one myself."

Alex was in a very good mood. She was looking forward to spending some quality time with Lee. It was nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of Starbase living. "Let's go get some breakfast."

He smiled:"After you Imzadi."

Alex walked out the door with Lee right behind her. As they walked out of their room, Alex noticed that a handful of the guests for the convention had arrived. They passed four men who were standing around about ten feet from their door, talking. Not thinking anything of it, she ignored them.

After walking a little farther, Alex remembered that she left her security blanket so to speak, on the bed. "Shoot, I need to go back for a minute. Do you mind dear?"

Lee nodded:"Sure Imzadi we can go back."

"Good. I really feel naked with out it." She flashed a quick smile. "I'll be out in a second, wait here."

They both walked back together.

Alex went back into the room and into the bedroom, picked up the knife and hid it on her body.

Meanwhile, the four men also followed. The looked at each other and nodded. They walked past Lee and then turned towards Lee and began their attack, one against four.

Lee got jumped from behind from 4 guys as he stumbled but managed to regain his balance.

Alex heard the ruckus as she exited the bedroom. She slowly approached the door, wishing that she had her phaser. It was their honeymoon so she left it on Starbase 400. She couldn't remember if Lee brought his. She didn't have time to look. The door opened to reveal a fight. She lunged at their attackers and began to help Lee defend himself. It was now two against four.

He grabbed one attacker and headbutted him then sent him flying with a huge uppercut.

Alex put her hands together, making one fist and hit one of the guys in his back, knocking him forward. He lost his balance but only for a moment. Another guy grabbed Alex from behind. Quickly, he stepped back and stepped on his foot very hard. She heard a few small bones crack as the man yelled in pain. He loosened his grip on her and she moved out of his grasp. She turned and grabbed his hair in the front and pulled his head down towards the ground as she raised her knee up, slamming him in the face. He went down. She turned back to see Lee up against against two of them. The one who was headbutted by Lee had recovered and noticed Alex going towards Lee to help him.

Alex pulled one of the guys off Lee but was she grabbed by her arm. His grip was very strong but she managed to get out from his grip, leaving him in pain but he didn't let that stop him. They both stood in a stance, daring each other to lunge first.

Lee grabbed one by the collar and with a thought to Alex warning her to duck he tossed the guy into the other two.

Alex did just that, she ducked and moved sideways. Alex looked at Lee with a nod.

One of them on the ground started to slowly get up, Lee ran over and punt kicked the guy right in the face.

Alex ran over to the one who she had kneed and grabbed him by the shirt, "Who are you? Who sent you? Why did you attack us?" The man didn't say a word. He just grinned as blood trickled from his nose that she broke. She released his shirt, his head hitting the ground. She looked over at the three laying on the ground next to Lee. Alex got up and started to move towards Lee but someone transported down behind her.

Lee growled as he saw someone beam behind her:"Behind you Imzadi!"

Alex started to turn to see what Lee alerted her to but it was too late. A phaser beam shot out, hitting Lee in the chest. Alex screamed but all she could do is watch Lee slowly fall to his knees. She lost sight of him when she and the others transported out. When Alex rematerialized, she felt a hypo in her neck and fell unconscious herself.

A convention goer had arrived a day early and was being led to his room when they both saw five bodies disappear and Lee fall onto the ground, unconscious. "Hey!" Stop!" They ran over to him, "Is he alive?" They checked his pulse, "Let's get him to his room. I'll get someone to help him."

Lee lay there unconscious.

A physician and the ones who found Lee, sat there, observing him, waiting for him to regain consciousness so they could find out what happened.

Finally Lee awoke cursing and swinging his arms before sitting up:"Where the hell are those bastards."

"Bastards?" The word was foreign to the physician.

"Am talking about the people who attacked my wife and I and then kidnapped her."

The Inn's guest moved closer to Lee, "They disappeared. I saw no woman so those men must have taken her. I only saw you...on the ground...unconscious.' He was a little intimidated by Lee and it made him a little nervous.

Lee glared at them:"If she is harmed and I find out anyone here was involved there will be hell to pay."

They didn't know what to say.

Lee could feel her pain from their link so he knew she was still on Risa but he couldn't locate her just yet. Lee got up from the bed and headed for the door.

Undisclosed Place

Meanwhile, back in a small dark room with no windows, Alex awoke to find herself strapped to a chair. She was quite still a bit groggy from the stuff they gave her. She tested the strength of the straps and found them to be quite snug. She tried to move her legs but they were also strapped to the chair. Alex wondered where Lee was and if he was okay. Last thing she remembered was Lee falling to his knees. "Hello? Anyone out there? What do you want? Hello!" Alex knew that it was pertinent to remain calm.

She must have been waiting for a while because she fell asleep. She jumped at the sound of a door opening and closing. She saw two of her captors, one of which she hadn't seen before, approached her, "Well, if it isn't Commander Harrison."

Alex glared at him, "That's Captain Harrison to you Bozo. So, what is this all about?"

"I have been waiting for 2 years to get justice for my son. I thought you'd never get off that stupid starbase." He circled her as he ran his hand along the back of the chair then leaned in, "I want you to suffer. I'm gonna start with your husband first, then your boy."

Alex chuckled, "Ooo, I'm so scared? I know for a fact that your goons failed in their attempt." Alex wasn't sure if they did or not but she wasn't about to show that she was scared. She wouldn't give them that satisfaction.

"That is where you are mistaken. Observe." A viewscreen turned on to show Lee sitting in a chair like the one she was sitting in. He was struggling to get out of the chair but to no avail. The three men that attacked them was standing around Lee. One of them put a device on him and activated it. Lee screamed an excruciating scream and his body shook violently. Alex yelled Lee's name, LEE!!!!" She struggled in her chair, "YOU BASTARD!!! Kill me but let him go."

"Sorry but I can't do that. You are going to watch. I want you to suffer like I did. He was sentenced to one of the penal colonies and one night, they beat him. He never was the same again. He took his life and it was all your fault."

"At least tell me who it is I am being held responsible for? " Alex had tears in her eyes.

The man moved to the front of her and bent down, "Ensign Marco Valdez."

"Ensign Valdez? He's dead?" Alex remembered the name and the face. He was a Security officer that had no business being in the department. He'd panic and shut down whenever they were in danger. He had froze when they needed him most. So she recommended that he should be put in a different department, one that wasn't dangerous. He yelled at her and then took off. She had no idea what had happened to him after that. She just knew that he transferred off SB400.

"All he ever wanted to do was join Starfleet and become a Security/Tactical officer. You shattered his dream. He was so distraught that he killed someone while trying to prove that he was worthy of the position. He held him in a choke hold and killed him." He grew angrier as he talked.

"He would have gotten himself killed or maybe even one of his shipmates killed. I couldn't take the chance."

"I'm done talking." He nodded to the other man. She looked over at Lee once again as they began to torture him. His screams filled the room. All she could do is watch in horror. "Please STOP!!!"

He sat there twitching.

Inn

Rulek, the man at the front desk, had come back to see how Lee was. They met at the door, "Ah, you are awake. I am sorry about your wife. You are from Starfleet, are you not?"

Lee was standing there seething:"Yes I am from Starfleet."

"Maybe you have made enemies somewhere along the way. I know nothing of those men who took your wife. But if you need my help, I can ask around. People here would trust me more than you, would they not?" He observed Lee.

"Yes! I have made enemies! I have killed before" Lee let out a sigh:"Sorry for the outburst. Would appreciate the help."

He patted Lee on the shoulder, "Then I go and ask around. We will get your wife back. This has never happened at my place, ever. I go now."

Lee raised an eyebrow then nodded before turning to head for his room to look for clues.

Rulek walked over to some of the other inns and restaurants and began to inquire if there was anyone asking strange questions. He explained what happened and how four men jumped someone. A lot of heads shook negatively. He felt bad that he didn't find out anything new. He had to ready the rooms for the next day. He noticed three of the rooms had unmade beds but he was sure that they had cleaned all of the rooms. He looked around for Lee.

Lee was sitting at a table drinking from a cup of Vulcan tea and looking over the data padd of the scans of his and Alex's room along with camera angles from the hallway.

Rulek met up with Lee, "I don't know if this is help but my rooms have been lived in. I know that housekeeping cleaned the rooms. I must talk to LuLu and see what she knows about this. Do you have need to talk to her?"

Lee nodded:"Yes I would like to speak with her."

Rulek returned with LuLu next to him, "LuLu here says that she saw the men staying in the room. Is that not right LuLu?" He looked at her intensely.

LuLu nodded, "Yes sir. I was angry too because I just cleaned those rooms and then those men messed it up. I said that I was going to complain but Rygel said that you checked them in for an overnight stay. So I didn't argue. Now I wish I had." She cocked her head to the side, "I'm so sorry about your wife. I hope you find her."

He nodded:"Thank you. Appreciate you coming here." Lee then looked at Rulek:"I can feel my wife's pain and torment so I know she's still on Risa." His eyes grew dark:"I promise that there will be severe hell to pay for whoever took her."

LuLu nodded and left. Rulek was obviously upset, "Rygel knows something. I must find him. I will bring him to you?"

"Who is Rygel? Yes would like to speak to him."

"Rygel is the one who LuLu spoke of." Rulek left.

Undisclosed Place

Alex saw Lee's body slump and then the viewscreen went dark. Tears streaming from her eyes, she cursed them and vowed to kill them. They took her out of the chair, "Move it." Alex struggled and got loose from their grip. Alex elbowed one in the face, the other one she kicked him in the knee. She wasn't able to take down the third man. He threw her against the wall, knocking the breath out of her. The others got up, "Damn lady, this is the last time that you will hit me in the face." They were holding her arms tightly as they walked. They pushed her into a little cell. Alex climbed onto the cot and laid down, wishing she could be with Lee. She felt sick to her stomach seeing him tortured like that. She never thought that she'd be spending her honeymoon locked up.

Lee closed his eyes as he felt more pain from Alex, growing madder by the second as he knew she was being tortured. He knew what he had to do and things were about to get ugly. Lee rose from his chair and headed for the room to make a call.

Alex got up and walked around the room. She picked up the chair and threw it at the door's window. The glass did not break. She growled as she sat back on the bed. She wished that she could feel his pain. But there wasn't even a thought, a feeling, nothing from him. Although the clues were there, she wasn't thinking with her head but with her emotions.

Alex laid back down on the bed and curled up on it. She hadn't been asleep for more than ten minutes when it started all over again. Seeing Lee's suffering was killing her as well.

Inn

Lee had finally made it back to the room and walked over to the desk and got the emergency comm he carried with him. He contacted the I.K.S. Ya'Vang which was General Torg's ship. After a couple minutes Torg came on the screen and nearly spit out his blood wine at the site of Lee's face.

Torg:"My son what has happen?"

Lee:"Alex and I were attacked by unknown men here on Risa."

Torg:"What cowards did this to you on your honeymoon?"

"Unknown at this time." Lee had a slight pain in his eyes."

Torg's eyes grew narrow:"What else is wrong? Otherwise you wouldn't be contacting me."

Lee blew out a breath:"The attackers have kidnapped Alex, I feel that she is still on Risa."

Torg stood up and turning to the side barked orders in Klingon then turned to Lee:"The Ya'Vang will be there in 6 hours my son."

Lee nodded:"Thank you, see you soon."

The comm went dead and Lee put it away.

Rulek came back empty handed. It seemed that Rygel disappeared. He approached Lee once more, "My apologies but Rygel is no where to be found. His family say that he hasn't been home since last night."

Lee nodded:"I had a feeling that he had disappeared."

"I wish that there was more that I could do but I have no more ideas how to help you. I have guests coming in the morn so I must go back and prepare the rooms for them. If I find anything else, I let you know, okay?"

"Thank you for the help anyway." Lee shook Rulek's hand.

Rulek walked away to find LuLu to help.

Lee looked at his watch and knew the Ya'Vang would be there in a couple hours so he headed off towards the shuttle to grab his phaser and d'tang. He set the phaser to heavy stun then carefully made his way back to the hotel and awaited for the call in his and Alex's room.
