Unexpected Events

Personal log.... Where do I start?

I've arrived onboard Starbase 400, I've barely been here a day and I'm already being kept busy. There have also been... very unexpected events, I went for my medical and had my first scan only to be told I'm not just pregnant with one baby but twins!! I just wish Jonathon was here with me to celebrate, I didn't realise how lonely I'd feel without him.

Speaking of which I've met a young man that intrigues me, he's already been giving me baby advice and he's polite and caring to a fault. The only thing that bothers me is that I enjoy his company, this soon after losing Jonathon it feels more of a betrayal even though my beloved husband told me he wanted me to find someone else. Perhaps a friendship would be a good step in finding my way onward, at this rate I'll need to speak to one of my own staff to get things straight.

My mother wasn't sure returning to Starfleet was the best thing for me but I feel it is, at least here I can continue my work and helping others has always helped me.

As for the twins, I'm only two months into ten so eight more to go and I'm already starting to show a little just enough for others to notice and funnily enough I'm enjoying it although from the queasiness I'm getting on and off I'm guessing I've got to the stage where morning sickness is starting to kick in. That's the one part I wasn't looking forward to but it's all a natural part of having, what is now the children, that Jonathon and I wanted so much.
