Location: Auxiliary Sickbay, Main Sickbay
Timeline: MD 1 1830

ON

Romans had been running around all day, between Main Sickbay and the Auxiliary, he had felt like he ran a mile. As he punched a few commands into the control panel, Clara a nurse he had been working with throughout the day approached.

"Sir, I have enough medication in here for the VIP's to have 3 surgeries, and a few common colds." She handed him a PADD.

Looking at the PADD he went over the medication. "Get some Glucgen and Glucophage in the medication cabinet as well. Just in case the dignitaries develop a case of diabetes while on board." He continued to peruse the list. "Also some Terakine and Acinolyathin." A few more lines, and he handed the PADD back.

"Right away sir." She turned and walked away.

He looked at his PADD and noticed the time, 'One more check of Main Sickbay, and grab a few reports then Bed.' He thought as he walked towards the security at the Medication Station.

"Clara will be bringing 4 more items, and then this should be considered secured. Contact me should anyone say otherwise."

The two person team both acknowledged and Romans proceeded towards Sickbay and his office.

A few minutes later, he rushed into his office to grab a report. He leaned over and tapped his desktop monitor and noticed a few additions to the crew roster he would need to have in for a quick baseline physical. "Computer have Ensign Hughes and Ensign Amakawa schedule an appointment with me within the next week." With that Romans turned and picked up his final PADD, and then he heard someone approaching.

"Sir I have a patient in here that would like a second opinion on a surgery. Can you consult?" Lieutenant Hernandez said, with his head peaking in the door.

Romans turned around, and looked at the fellow doctor. "Can you give me a quick report on the patient?"

"57 year old civilian presented with extreme pressure on the chest, difficulty breathing, he gave an 8 out of 10 as his pain level. When palpitated he is sensitive to touch. Scans show multiple blockages in arteries surrounding the heart. It appears to be a.." Hernandez was speaking as Romans cut him off.

"Heart Attack. And sounds like an arterial graft is needed as well." Romans replied, setting down everything he had already picked up, and grabbed a Medical PADD and scanned through the Doctors on staff. All had less knowledge that he and Hernandez.

"I see you gave Inaprovaline, and have him on an external pacer as precaution." He paused as he read more into the chart. "Very well," he continued, a bit annoyed as he was hoping he could throw his feet up rather than see a patient, but duty called. "Prepare Surgery Suite 2, and prep for surgery. I need 2 nurses as well. I will go talk with the patient and get him prepared."

With that the two doctors exited the office, both heading in opposite directions.
