It was about ten minutes after dinner as everyone present had eaten well but Rachael regarded the major as she watched her carefully. "Major... why are you so angry anyway..." she inquired.
Phoenix looked to Siaxx guardedly. What she wanted that very moment was a stiff drink. Now all attention was on her and she did not like it.
"You slept in your quarters last night," Aryssa accused. "Can't deny you're pissed 'bout somethin' Sis."
And now she had two intrusive teens bothering her. One a telepath, the other that had a knack for telling folks things she did not want told. And Aryssa continued on as well with that train of thought.
"You came to my room last night upset."
"Shut up," Phoenix spoke darkly more to Aryssa than Rachael.
Rachael blinked, this was a surprise. "You're pissed off with Siaxx aren't you?"
Siaxx sighed. "Racheal leave it alone.... its not worth it."
"Calm yourself Jill," Dorothy began soothingly. "No harm was meant."
"Really... Really?" Phoenix repeated with incredulity, her temper and agony rising. "Siaxx decides to spill her guts about my problems to her friends an' you never once asked what I wanted-"
"Leave your mother out of this, Jillian." That was Blake, giving Phoenix a dangerous stare.
"That one," Phoenix pointed viciously pointed to Rachael with her metal index finger, "only ever likes to berate me in public from -"
Phoenix was stunned the moment Aryssa's hand slapped her across the face, to stop whatever was left of the accusation to Rachael's character.
"Good. You're payin' attention." Aryssa matched with angry eyes. "Stop bein' mean to us."
"Since you came here, you've been ungrateful," Phoenix practically growled. "Spoiled. Illiterate. An' I can' stand it. But I been tryin' ta be nice. Ta get to know you for Mom's sake."
"Bullshit!" Aryssa's eyes flared the same as Phoenix's had. "I aint stupid. I know who and what you are - have since Yeager told me. But you lie an' never own up an' pretend ta like me... Cause you're a coward."
It was Blake that pinned Phoenix against the wall to keep her from pouncing on Aryssa.
It happened so suddenly that Siaxx almost didn't see it coming. "What the fuck!" was her only response.
Rachael too, did not see it coming either but she was quicker. "Major, if I had something to say about your ass.... I'd say it to your face." she snarled, now well and truly angry. "I wouldn't waste my time telling it to others who didn't give a damn..." she added.
Siaxx looked at mother and daughter who presently knew each other as sisters. "That will be quite enough Valen dammit..." she growled. "Out of the two of you... and for the record.... Jill... I only mentioned it to Tressa and nobody else... because she needed to know what was bothering me... Torilla knows something is going on but I don't run to her every time I need my head checking. I can sort my head out on my own... she is not my keeper.." Siaxx now sounded well and truly enraged by this point, enough that she was having issues breathing.
"Come on, Baby Doll. Take a deep breath," Dorothy spoke with much worry to Phoenix, as she noticed her daughter panting heavily. A caged-up riding bull ready to be let out the gate.
The caged bull however, was starting to tear up as she continued to struggle with her emotions.
"...You knew I was a private person. Knew I don' like folks in my business. Yet you invited two people into my life without asking." Phoenix began to sniff, and Blake let her go once he thought she was no longer going to mow anyone down. Then the pilot just shook her head in disgust. "I trusted you."
Siaxx too was having trouble. "I'm sorry..."
Rachael watched in silence, sadness shining in her dark eyes as she sighed softly but she didn't say anything.
That hard crying of having her heart broken, turned into unexpected rage again. Lightning strides later, rapid strikes occurred to Siaxx with each of Phoenix's ephasized words.
"I..." BAM, was the first strike to the jaw with Phoenix's left fist. "trusted..." BAM came a much harder, metal augment hit to Siaxx's left cheek, which shattered. "you!"
The last strike was said with much emotion that Phoenix might as well of died with the last, left jab at Siaxx's stomach. Blake had chosen to try to shield the teens this time, as he knew his daughter's rage all too well and only wanted to minimize the damage now.
Siaxx had about two seconds to realize what was coming her way before the first blow up the face which had her seeing stars, the second was like a sledgehammer which turned the icy feeling in her face to fire as she felt her cheekbone shatter before gravity took over as Siaxx fell to the deck, blissfully unconscious due to he sheer force of both blows to her face and chest.
Rachael reached out as she tried to come to Siaxx's aid as she shoved the Major away from the woman she had come to think of as her aunt. "What the fuck Major..." Rachael snarled. "You're crazy!" the teenager added.
"She's in pain. Any half-rated telepath should know the difference between insanity and agony," Dorothy snapped at Rachael, for she did not like people making fun of Phoenix, no matter what her daughter did.
"She... she betrayed me, Mommy," Phoenix sniffed, as she tried to wipe her face.
"She didn't mean to... She was upset, like you are now," Dorothy spoke, being very cautious as she tried to approach Phoenix.
Rachael raised an eyebrow. "I'm not a strong telepath like my sister and mother... I'm stronger in the telekinetic arts..." she commented quietly. "all I can sense is the black wall of rage..." as she regarded the Bolian female sprawled out on the floor, thankfully there were no puddles of blood around where Siaxx lay.
Rachael sighed softly as she looked around, moving over to where Siaxx kept her medical kit, she plucked it from where she recalled where it was sitting.
"Okay... lets see..." she went to the Bolian's side as she pulled out the Tricorder. "Now.. lets see if I remember how this works.." she muttered to herself. "Dammit Beth.. Gabe... where the hell are you guys when I need you." she added, clearly talking about her siblings.
"Give me a tranq from your kit, please," Dorothy spoke quietly, watching Phoenix pace back and forth with worry by the viewport - now that pilot could see the damage done to Siaxx. "You should call your mom to pick you up an' maybe the doc too. More important we get Jill resting before she goes into a panic attack."
Rachael looked up at the older woman as she silently cracked open the medkit and selected the medication which Dorothy requested. "Here you go. Don't give her more then fifty milligrams. Any more could cause.... problems.." she sighed softly as she turned back to Siaxx. "Dammit Aunt Siaxx... why do you never duck...." she whispered. "Yeah... I need a real doctor for this." she sighed softly as she tapped her combadge. "Yamaguchi to Brislan.... Tressa. I need you in Siaxx's quarters right away... there has been a fight and Siaxx needs medical attention right away...."
=^=Racheal? Stay there please, on my way.=^=
"I understand... Thanks." Rachael responded. "Yamaguchi out." as she tapped her combadge that she normally kept with her at all times, then she called home. "Yamaguchi to Yamaguchi... Mom?"
Torilla's response was instant. "Yeah honey, what's up?" Torilla sounded almost out of breathe.
"Could you come collect me... there's been an accident.." she decided to phrase it better then a fistfight because she knew what was coming as Torilla's voice seemed to skip a note. "W-What happened?" Torilla added.
"Jill and Siaxx had an.. misunderstanding and Siaxx... is a right mess... I already called the doctor."
"I'm on my way." Torilla responded instantly. "Yamaguchi out."
Rachael nodded as she checked Siaxx over as she sighed. A few minutes later the door beeped at them. "That's mom. I think" Rachael commented.
"It'll be all right," Dorothy spoke to both Rachael and Phoenix. Her daughter, had just been given the tranquilizer. And the agitation level was gradually decreasing, along with the need to sleep - the target goal for giving Phoenix the tranquilizer in the first place.
The doors opened and in came Tressa Brislan rather then Torilla Yamaguchi who poked her head around the doorframe. "Oh..." the two had arrived together.
The doctor took a deep breath as she surveyed the scene; Siaxx on the floor unconscious, Phoenix slumped over in a chair, three strangers pensively watching her and Racheal next to Siaxx. She dropped to the floor with the teen.
"Rach, what happened to her?" she asked softly as she pulled out her tricorder.
Racheal began to explain what happened. "Well things were said and Phoenix snapped... Siaxx bore the brunt of it.." she indicated the Bolian, lying on the floor before them.
Tressa gently opened each of Siaxx' eyes and scanned her head and torso. "I'm going to take her to Sickbay, your mother is on her way?" The girl nodded, and the doctor turned to Phoenix. "You tranquilized her? Dosage?"
"30CCs. Enough to keep Jill from going into a full blown panic attack," Dorothy answered as she looked to both Siaxx and Phoenix with worried eyes.
Torilla entered the quarters as she looked around, clearly she had heard everything. "I'm right here."
Tressa looked pointedly at Torilla. "Can you come with me to Sickbay? Racheal can come, too."
Torilla nodded. "Yes of course." she commented. "Want me to carry her or call for a beam out?" she inquired.
"We'll go together if you don't mind, Phoenix too," the doctor said. She tapped her commbadge and called for the transport.
Rachael took the unspoken hint as she backed away and then stood up, some blood from Siaxx's smashed face had made it onto one of her hands as she felt wetness. she looked down as she noticed Siaxx's blood. "How is she doing?" Rachael indicated Phoenix.
"She'll be fine in a few hours or so," Dorothy spoke as Phoenix was now resting on the couch. "...I don't see her forgiving herself for this."
Rachael nodded silently as she wiped the blue blood on her jeans, it made for quite the contrasting effect on her left leg. "In time... she might.." she breathed out and then back in. "If these two are going to have any sort of a future then she must forgive Siaxx and herself for the mistakes made." she commented. "its the only way really"
Torilla regarded her youngest as a smile graced her lips. "Siaxx doesn't hold grudges, she doesn't believe in them..."
"Ready?" Tressa said, cradling Siaxx in her arms.
Rachael nodded her head as Torilla gently picked up Phoenix like the woman weighed in at about forty pounds, Torilla used her muscular legs to straighten up with a soft grunt. "Whenever you're ready Tressa." she commented softly.
=^=Five to beam directly to Sickbay,=^= the doctor commed. Seconds later they were gone.
Torilla effortlessly carried Phoenix as if she weighed nothing, over to one of the biobeds where as Rachael requested that Siaxx be tended to a few beds down... that way when both women woke up, they would have some space between them.
Rachael followed Tressa over to the other biobed in silence while Torilla remained with Phoenix as she contemplated the sleeping human woman in silence, a soft smile on the face of the Halanan. "I wonder what made you come apart.." she inquired to the sleeping Major. "Because I felt your rage from across the station.." she said softly to the sleeping woman.
