USS Yorktown

***** Bridge - USS Yorktown *****

Fives sat at the Engineering station as he was running several checks on the Engineering systems of the Yorktown as he blinked his tired eyes. “Vot is thy bidding my master?” a deep voice suddenly intoned.

"What?" he inquired as he looked around, a few others including the Commander also looked around. "Oh.. Its too late for that crap Davis."

The com system was silent as Fives blinked. "Computer. was there a message from Engineering?"

"Negative, my master." came that same voice as Fives sighed. "Oh bloody hell. this is a computer that thinks its Darth Vader." he raised an eyebrow. "Computer, did someone tamper with you?"

"Negative." came the response as Fives growled. "a likely story." he then tapped his combadge. "Lasky to Davis. Yo Darth, how's it coming?"

"Ahh... " came the expected response. "I am unable to find where the instability is occurring, I will need to go through the program code again... line by line.." the other officer sounded almost distracted.

Fives looked up at the ceiling as he seemed ready to loose his mind. "Darth... I mean the diagnostic check I asked for."

"Oh that was done five hours ago..."

Fives closed his eyes as he mentally counted to ten. "Sir.. are you there my master?" came Darth Vader's voice.

"Davis...... just.... gimme my report.." he whispered. "now... before I come down there and have you shot!" he growled softly.

"Well the computer connections work, they do take more power then the average computer to work but this system is almost much more efficient then the older systems, its faster and much easier to use as well." came Darth Vader's voice.

"Fine... how do you explain the anomalies we've been seeing then?"

"I can't...." came the blunt response. "I need more time... I'll get back to you." and with that Davis hung up as Fives rose to his feet, he then went over to the replicator and ordered something to drink and then after receiving his drink, he came back to his station.
