Lt Commander Torilla Yamaguchi narrowed her eyes as she regarded the display before her, Chief Branson was looking after the conn which allowed her to handle what she was doing at the present time.

She found she actually had enjoyed working at the Conn, she found it relaxing in an odd way as it was just her, the ship and the universe itself as she had found the relationship between time, space and gravity to be more fascinating then she had ever imagined.

Ever since she had come face to face with one of her darkest nightmares, getting too close to the gravimetric waves from a pulsar, to most it looked like a normal dead star radiating with jets of radiation, blasting out into space dozens or sometimes hundreds of times a second.

To her however it was a source of interest as she could feel the waves as they sang to her in her sleep as she had recorded the song that she had heard and it was a file she had kept with her on her various assignments.

She narrowed her eyes as she began checking the ships weapons systems for signs of computer tampering or for any other signs, but like the other systems she had checked, everything turned out to be normal.

It was almost like there was nothing wrong with the computer system except it operated faster then what she was used to and it also processed information more efficiently as well but she was wondering if this computer was indeed alive or was it just extremely sophisticated programming incorporated into the software.

She shook her head as she growled under her breathe. "Stop screwing with me."
