Location: Engineering - USS Yorktown
Timeline: MD1 - 1950 hrs - Following Warp Nine!

“Captain to Senior Staff, report to the Bridge. Engineering, I want a full series of Level One diagnostics ran on the Flight Control and Propulsion systems, now.”

Lasky who had been taking some time to catch up on a novel he had been reading, it was entitled, Star Wars - Dark lord the rise of Darth Vader and need less to say Lasky was not suprised that something new had happened as he heard the com system beep at him, he dropped the bookmark in the novel at the page he had been reading and he placed the novel on his desk, clearly wanting to come back to it at some point.

He greatly prefered paperback whenever possible but that was a matter of preference as he sighed softly as he tapped his combadge. "Bridge this is Engienering. Aye Captain. we're on it and we'll let you know what we find. Lasky out." and with that he walked into the Engine Room as he waved down the Engineers present there. "Ladies and Gents... there is something funny hapoening aboard ship. lets find out what we are dealing with.... take the engines apart and find me what I want to know." Lasky commented evenly.

"Aye Chief, we're on it." Davis commented with a smile as he went to work with the other engineers.

Lasky nodded. "I'm going to go have a look at the Conn station on the bridge." he commented. "Parker, take a look at the computer systems and make sure the linkages are working as they should." he paused. "also take a look at the positronic system itself.... I have a bad feeling about this.... that our issue is located right there."

"What makes you say that... its just a new toy." came the unexpected response from one of his engineers.

"A new toy thats being field tested on Yorktown and we have no idea of what to expect from it." Lasky explained. "check it.. then recheck it then check it again..." Lasky growled. "Get on with it Ensign and stop prattling on about it to me"

"Yessir."

With that Fives turned and walked out of the engine room after picking up his kit, his destination was the bridge.
