Mission: Mission 86 - Discovery
Location: Marine Country
Timeline: MD1-1345hr-Current Mission

=Marine Deck=
=Chow Hall=

Over the past few hours shuttles had arrived with the new Armoured Marines Support staff on-board. Most of them Junior Enlisted Staff with a few NCO's and Senior NCO's thrown into the mix. Unusually Major Jason Pepper was sat with the enlisted marines in the mess hall eating some well deserved chow and looking over schematics of the new tankers territory.

A corporal drew some squares and rectangles on the padd in-front of him, each rectangle represented as tank and each square a cargo container.

"What about if we stack them in company lines like this and have two rows for each company" He pushed over the padd and Pepper took a look as he chewed on his food.

"That'll work, and the floor between the middle two decks has been removed" said Pepper as after he swallowed his food.

"How do you want the other stuff" asked a sergeant informally

Pepper pointed to the upper deck with his fork

"We'll put the additional Turrets and optional equipment on this deck above and we'll put spares and ammo on the deck below" as he finished he scooped another fork full of food up off his plate.

"are we leaving room for a workshop area" asked one of the marines near the end of the table

"Nahh, no point, we can do minor repairs where they sit and anything major we can move them to the top deck" answered a marine sat next to him

"Is the rigging in place for turret replacement" asked the same marine who asked about the workshops.

"It's all in place, Tommy and his crew have been checking it for the last couple of hours" Tommy being one of the grease monkey sergeants assigned to keeping the tanks up and running.

"Transporters ready to be offloaded, all armoured Division Personnel report to your stations, I say again all armoured personnel report to your stations" came the announcement over the loud speaker.

The group picked up uniform and anything else they had laying around and headed out behind Jason. Once they reached the Armoured deck which had been dubbed the tank pit, they found sergeant Tommy and his crew playing baseball. It seemed to be an unspoken tradition that the grease monkeys use the space for baseball whilst it was still empty. Although to be fair to them before the tanks arrived the entire area was like a giant stadium, the only thing in it are the overhead cranes which had all been safety checked and double checked.

Jason Entered the room in full BDU uniform, which was a digital pattern grey camouflage. The main difference between the armoured division and the infantry division is the blue and black patch on the upper arm near the shoulder which signified the marines are armoured marines, well that and the dark green berets they wore instead of the standard BDU Cap.

"Heads up" came the shout from one of the marines, at this call every marine present stopped what they was doing and ran to fall into formation. Within a matter of minuets half of the Battalion was formed up neatly three deep, a sea of Green berets all stood in a perfect rectangle and all in silence. The only ones out of formation was the most senior NCO's who had taken up position exactly three paces behind the formation in a line of their own. Two paces in front of the formation stood the officers. Not a single soul moved and not a single soul spoke....

Jason looked along the line of marines and felt pride in his warriors and he almost smiled.

"Transports are ready to be offloaded, is everything ready" Jason asked in a loud voice

"OORAH" came the unified shout of a hundred marines

"Marines, to your duties... FIRST TANKS" Jason answered back

"STEEL ON TARGET" came the unified replies once more.
