Timeline: During Current Mission on board USS Essex...

Whilst the Essex moved toward her destination at Slipstream speed, Jack decided it was best to get to know the ship better and to work through some of the issues raised enroute. He ran through a checklist compiled on his PADD.

He frowned as he read down the lisf of jobs to be assigned...
The Secondary Powerflow Regulators on deck six needed recalibrating...
The Backup Shield Generators on deck nine needed to be realigned to matchup with the rest of the backup system...
The Auxiliary Pattern Buffers for Transporter Room Two needed to reset...

"Its never a dull day in Operations," Jack murmured to himself as he contacted several of the onboard Operations Teams and assigned the various tasks to them. He realised though that he was happy being a Senior Officer again, even if it was only mission specific. He missed the days of his previous duties aboard the Wildcat and The Essex serving full time on Bridge duty, but he knew things changed in time and he was happy to realise that 400 had a fast pace of life to keep him occupied.

He got back to work with a small grin, hoping that with all the kinks worked out, things wpuld go right for a while...
