Timeline: Set at the same time as 'Teal on Blue'

"The Family, Yamaguchi"

Kodian Yamaguchi
Cadet 3rd Class Gabriel Yamaguchi
Cadet 4th Class Elizabeth Yamaguchi

***** Starbase Prominade - Starbase 400 *****

Rachael Yamaguchi sighed softly as she knew that her
mom was busy with another assignment that was taking
her off of the starbase and frankly she was getting
tired of always having her family split up by sending
them to all parts of the galaxy, both siblings were on
Earth and Dad was off on the USS Courageous.

Frustration didn't enter into it as she was almost in
a constant state of pissed off with her entire life as
she found herself looking out of one of the several
hundred viewports.

"Beautifull ain't it." her elder sibling's voice commented
from next to her. "Someone ought to take a picture."
Rachael sighed as she turned to look at Elizabeth smiled
back at her. "We're still here." she commented.

"You guys are all heading back to the academy shortly
and Dad's looking after Gideon."

"Ain't he a handsome little guy?" Beth inquired with a
knowing smile. "Maybe I should take my friends advice and
get out more. Considering you are dealing with a guy who
has it bad for you."

Rachael sighed softly. "I know... he's leaving shortly to
head off to the academy." the teenager sighed softly.
"I spend so much time with him doing homework and everything
else."

Elizabeth regarded her younger sibling with a soft smile.
"Rachael, you don't need to explain to me how you feel on
the matter.... I know you're angry about things with Mom
always comming and going, you don't see Dad all that much
and Gabriel and I are never here and now we got Celeste
and Gideon to contend with."

"I know... Gideon is so mild mannered Beth... I've never
seen a child like him." Rachael commented. "I pick him up
and other then him reacting to me, he doesn't make a sound."

"You're going to miss him... I know..." Elizabeth smiled down
at her sister. "One day it'll be you with a baby in your arms
and you'll wonder what you did to deserve such punishment."
she commented as the two of them watched their only brother
appear from around a corner as Beth smiled.

'Gabe, above you to the left.'

'On my way.' was the response that both women felt as a third
woman approched with a smile on her face. "Rachael, Elizabeth."
Kodian Yamaguchi regarded her cousins as Rachael spun on one
foot to address the newcommer. "Kodian. what the hell..!"

The half Vulcan / human young woman who was about eighteen
months older then Rachael smiled warmly at her cousin as she
chuckled. "Dad and I got here not that long ago as we're heading
to the USS New Hampshire.

"Thats great!" Rachael replied cheerfully. "Is Aunt T'Rae here?"

"No,. just me and Dad." the young Vulcan looking woman responded
with a cheefull smile as Gabriel Yamaguchi arived as he picked
up his smaller cousin and gave her a big hug. "Kodian!" he growled
cheerfully. "I had no idea that you were around."

Kodian laughed as she felt her cousin pick her up as he greeted her
but she had expected nothing less and then he set her back down on
her feet. "Hello Gabriel, its good to see you again."

"Its always nice seeing family on strange and distant places." he
replied with a smile.

"Hows your Mom and Dad doing these days?" Kodian replied as she
looked up at Gabriel and Elizabeth who were larger then her younger
cousin and herself. "Also.. I hear congratulations are in order...
Dad." she added as she grinned at Gabriel.

"Yeah. Gideon is with his mom at the moment and Celeste is with Dad,
packing things before we leave tonight."

"Heading back to the academy...?" Kodian inquired.

Both Gabriel and Elizabeth both sighed softly. "Yeah.... how long
are you and your Dad around?" Elizabeth inquired with a smile as
she tapped her combadge. "Yamaguchi to Yamaguchi, Dad... Kodian
and Uncle Daniel are here on base and.." a smile spred across her
lips as she added. "Lets go eat dinner."

"Sounds good, I just ran into Daniel myself.... Lets meet at Crums
place and we will feast shortly."

"Sounds good Dad, I got Kodian, Gabe and Rachael all here with me,
we will meet you there.." and with that she tapped her combadge.
"Come on guys... lets go."
