Mission: Mission 76 - Home comings
Location: USS Cairo/Starbase 400

OOC: This is a JP between B. General Jewel Dartt CO of the USS Cairo and Admiral Bremer.

IC:

After they had dropped of her sister back on Earth, they had made their way towards Starbase 400 where they would dock for resupply and minor repairs. "Sir, we have reached Starbase 400," her Operations Officer said.

"Open a Channel," Jewel replied.

"Channel open," came his reply.

"USS Cairo to the Starbase 400 requesting permission to dock for resupply and repair?" She asked as she awaited response. She hoped it be her brother in law that answered.

The morning after the Enterprise-E's decommissioning ceremony came too soon. The lack of sleep and excessive Romulan Ale and wine were playing games with Mike's head. It was rare he'd get a hangover, but last night was a rare kind of night. He'd made his way to Ops, received a cup of raktijno, and tried to start his day.

Mike happened to be in Ops when the call came in, so he personally responded, "Cairo this is Starbase 400. Permission granted. Follow standard flight path and docking procedures. Ops will contact you when you reach the inner marker."

"Understoond, USS Cairo out." Jewel said.

Shortly after the Cairo slowly made their way into the Starbase. After they had completely docked she ordered the ship to go in inactive mode while the ship was being stocked and repaired from their last mission. She opened a ship wide comm channel.

"Attention crew of the USS Cairo, we have docked at Starbase 400 you all are on shore leave until further orders. Please behave yourself while your on Starbase 400. Dartt out." she said as she got up and made here way out of the Cairo.

Once on the Starbase she headed straight for the turbo lift. "Operations," she replied as the doors closed shut behind her and began to move. She straightened her uniform. A few moments later the lift came to a complete stop and the doors slid open again.

"General on Deck," came a reply from the Assistant Chief Security/Tactical Officer.

She smiled, "At ease," she replied as she headed to where the Admiral's ready room was and pressed the chime and waited.

Mike was waiting on Jewell. He knew when she had something on her mind, she wouldn't be stopped til she was able to get the situation handled, so he was waiting in his Ready Room.

As the door opened and Jewell walked in, Mike saw the expression on her face and he knew this wasn't just a social call. A former member of his crew aboard SB400, and also his sister-in-law, he knew the General well.

Mike motioned to a chair as he stood, "Have a seat. We received your repair and resupply requests. Shouldn't be a problem, yard engineers should be able to have everything completed within a week."

She sat down, "Thank you Mike," she replied with a smile. "So, when is Janice due to return to the station?" she asked as she sat their.

"Starfleet Command hasn't released her yet, so tomorrow I'm going to get her." His expression was serious. "And they are going to explain why she has been held for `debriefing` for so long.

"Also, I got orders to report to you for my new assignment." she added. She wondered what they be especially if they where coming from Mike himself.

Mike nodded, "Yes I had the Cairo reassigned to the Aries Sector. With all the activity with the Romulans and Tholians lately following the destruction of Romulus and the re-emergence of the Typhon Pact, I need expected commanders in the area. For now, missions are at your discretion but if a situation arises I will contact you."

She listened as he explained her orders, "Understood, at least it's close to home." she said as she always considered Starbase 400 her home. She also hoped everything was alright with Janice.

"Will you let me know about Janice once you find out?" she said as she was still worried about her sister, she hated to leave her on Earth but she had no choice.

Mike nodded, "I will, I'll have her contact you once she is aboard the Pegasus."

Mike stood, "Welcome back to SB400." Mike flashed a smile.

She couldn't help but smile, "Thanks Mike, oh I have something for you it will be sent to you soon. Something I picked up on my last mission that I thought you would like." she added with a smile. She knew that he loved collecting Klingon weapons so she saved this one for him.

"Well if their isn't anything else I am going to go check out my quarters here on Station." she said as she got up and walked out of the ready room and headed for the turbo lift. She gave her destination and the doors closed shut behind her.
