Mission 84 - Blockade
Location: Security Office
Timeline: After returning to SB400
M'Kota walked into the security department and noticed a new Ensign there, M'Kota walked up to her and smiled a Klingon smile, "Hello Ensign, I am Sogh M'Kota a fellow Security Officer. You must be new here," M'Kota said extending her hand.
Natia sat there and looked at the Klingon wearing a uniform, her shy and curious behavior peaked she looked up her profile and was relieved to have confirmed she was who she said she was but with held returning the handshake in fear of having her hand broken as well. "Hello, umm, im sorry but I dont shake hands, its not because im disrespectful towards you, sir, its more towards the fact you could crush my hand and since I have an advanced form of brittle bone disease which explains my chair, I try to avoid instances where I could get my hand crushed." Natia explained hoping she didnt offend the Klingon right off the bat of meeting someone new.
She nodded, normally she would take offense but she learned while she was here that she would have to be respectful of everyone. "None taken," she said. "I am an exchange officer from Qo'noS and I am still learning about humans if you can say that." M'Kota stated looking at her. "Welcome anyways she said with a smile." She wondered why she was even a security officer if she was in a chair but she didn't want to ask so she left that alone.
"Well humans are weak and easily injured, we dont have back up systems for our vital organs like Klingons do. When we get injured or are born with a disease we no longer kill them when there babies because they are imperfect. We let our children be raised, and best accommodate them. Me, I had this disease when I was younger and sense I didnt go out to play like everyone else I played around on the computer and one day I hacked into Starfleet itself among other systems by accident, I got caught and was given a choice. Prison or Join Starfleet in the hopes of making their computer systems next to unhackable. Thats why im here and why im in security. Security isnt all about beating people up. Its about helping people." Natia said being a bit chatty as she saw the confusion on the Klingons face. "Hey do you mind if I just call you 'Kota'?, its alot better then saying your entire name and all that?" Natia said warming up a bit as she normally is quiet until she becomes a chatter box.
She looked at her not sure what to say at this point, "Uh sure," she said looking at her little confused about her being so chatty. M'Kota wasn't really much of a talker she usually just kept to yourself. But she was told to explore outside of her comfort zone.
Soon there was a bell ringing and her holo screen activates. "Hmmmm, there seems to be a tussle down on the Merchant quarter. Care to check it out, Kota?" Natia asked her and decided not to be so chatty as it was a clear sign of her being nervous around others who were clearly stronger then herself.
She nodded "On my way," M'Kota stated as she grabbed a couple other Security Officers and headed down that way.
Natia moved her chair just enough to keep up with Kota with ease, though her chair could go much faster, she decided not to go that route as she and Kota and additional security guards entered the lift and took it down to the merchant deck and as they left the lift, their entire merchant quarter was in an uproar, it was bordering on a riot to say the least.
"What the....?" she said outloud a bit scared now as she backed up behind the stronger people and grabbed a phaser from a compartment in her chair.
"Enough!" M'Kota shouted as she pointed her phaser while the other two went and tried to break up the fight. "What the hell is going on!" she spat as she looked at them.
"I dont know, im searching the data for this area, and coming up with various probabilities. One video suggests thieving, then a fist fight, then next thing its a bloody riot!. Wait, it seems that there is a fight going on between a Klingon and an Andorian thats the center of all this fighting. Of course, theres a ferengi taking bets on who will win." Natia said as she prepared to activate her shield around herself, just incase things go from bad to worse.
She walked up to the Klingon and spoke in her native tongue, "That will be enough! You dishonor yourself," she spat as the Klingon attempted to attack her but in one swift move she knocked the knife out of his hand and had him on the ground. "I said enough, now you get to go to the brig and Vorak will deal with you!" she spat in Klingon. "Get him out of here," she said to a security officer.
Which cuffed him and hauled him away, she turned to the Andorian. "I suggest you tell me what this was all about!" M'Kota ordered. He just spat in her face. "You really didn't want to do that!" she spat as she cuffed him as well. "Well your'll be in the brig as well until you talk!" she stated as he was also lead away. She looked at the Ferengi, "Do you care to talk?" M'Kota asked.
"One strip of latium the Ferengi will back down." Natia whispered to one of the security officers rather jokingly, who only smiled in return as the Ferengi backed down and scurried away, dropping his earning every where as he feared for his life. Just then security went and broke up the remainder of the people and herded them all away back to there previous shops and such.
"That was good." Natia said hovering right up to where Kota was, enjoying a real warrior in action.
She shook her head at the Ferengi, "Typical," she said as she looked at Natia, "Thanks, now I think we better get back and file some reports, do you think you can do that? I better contact Sa' Vorak and let him know one of his men is in our brig. Now that will be interest," she stated looking at her.
"Hazing the new girl sir?, I mean do I do your report as well as mine or just my report and sign both our names or what?" Natia asked Kota.
She looked at her, "You do your report, I'll do mine after speaking with Sa' Vorak and get some more answers." M'Kota stated looking at her.
"Of course, ill do my report right now." Natia said smiling before she departed.
She nodded and walked down the corridor to the security department, a few moments later she arrived an entered and went for the computer console to contact Vorak.
