Settling in was hard enough but in the middle of things she had no clue about was another thing all together. Holly now got to her quarters to find her things neatly stowed away for her and she couldn't help but sigh knowing full well that the orders were given to make sure she was distracted for distraction often lead to bad things for her. Her mind was a million miles away by the time that she sat down she almost didn't hear the computer alert that there was a message for her. ~Great~ was all she thought as she opened it up. Orders from the Admiral to go to Enterprise-E for a gathering that was scheduled already it seemed. The orders specified everyone who was going to be in attendance and she rubbed her face turning the computer off. Seams first meetings were going to happen all at once. At least she would know someone already. Captain Greenwood.

Getting up out of the chair she talked to herself, ~ pull yourself together can't let a little space fatigue take you down on the first day...~ as she went about getting to the closet to pull out her dress whites. Granted they looked similar to what she use to wear at one point of her life but still she wasn't use to the colors on them or the ranking pipes. It had been too long since she wore these to have her thinking that far back. Pulling the dress uniform out of the closet she took them into the bedroom to change. She wasn't going to bother with a shower for she hadn't been doing anything work related as of yet so there was no need. Taking one uniform off she changed it for another and growled at the fact that it was sung in all the wrong places. She then realized just why the dress uniform stayed in there.

Normally she would have fussed with her hair for an hour or two but this wasn't normal for her at all and she wasn't really concerned with her appearance as she figured she was the new kid on the block regardless of how she looked. However, she did make sure she was presentable before leaving her assigned quarters to find out where the Enterprise-E was set at and where the reception was being held. If it was going to be anything like the last one she knew it wouldn't be long after that they would all be put to work. So she braced herself for the worse as she traveled the station, the hard way, to the designated area of meeting for everyone on the station.

Quietly she slipped into the reception area giving a few nods to those who looked her direction when she entered. There was no ceremonial weapons present and she didn't relax any at that realization. Mentally smacking herself for hoping some resemblance to a marine gathering would be abound she settled into the familiar but not familiar setting of a formal gathering. Wishing in the back of her mind that her friend was around to calm her nerves she folded her arms at her waste and settled into one of the corners of the room satisfied that at least if someone or something was going to come at her at least she was going to see it coming.
