As Lennox walked into the building, he was surprised to find two Romulans and a Reman sitting at a small cluster of computer consoles. The three stood up once Lennox walked in.

"What are you doing here?" One of the Romulans, a Lieutenant, asked of Lennox.

USS Vanguard - Bridge

Andrew was still at the console listening for any stray chatter or ships in the system. Like Yamaguchi, he had found nothing. It was like the solar system before space flight had been developed, totally silent except for the planetary matter. The ship was on silent running to avoid stray signals being detected by the Romulans. He shut the console down and went back to his seat, "All very quiet, Admiral. I'm not sure I like it, though. Maybe we can leave a drone probe here when we leave; it may provide some insight into what they are doing here."

Deela nodded, "I'll give it some thought." She was still a bit concerned about the away teams but as a friend once said, no news is good news.

Yamaguchi didn't like this situation in the slightest, the lack of anything Romulan on the sensors as they were holding station in high orbit over the
Planet.

The only Romulan ships she noticed were two Warbirds on patrol, elsewhere in the sector as a small Romulan vessel left the surface. "Sir, have a Runabout, leaving the surface... Kestrel class and I don't think its one the away team 'borrowed'

"Because it’s heading out atmosphere on a heading that will let them go to warp once they clear the Gravity well sir... along a heading of two one mark fifty." she explained.

Meanwhile Duvall walked into what looked like a equipment storage building, he nodded to the Uhlan at the door who nodded, back, he then was permitted access to the building, he opened the door and in he went with Maal who followed him in. "You take that way, I'll go this way, meet back here in five." Duvall said quietly.

Maal just nodded to Duvall before heading off in the direction that was pointed to him. He had his weapon at the ready just in case.

He sighed softly as he ran his mission objectives through his mind again as he walked into a sizeable hanger area which looked like it was in operation, he noticed three shuttles being worked on along with another two scorpion class attack fighters.

He noticed techs were everywhere and he opened his tricorder to passively scan the area, he did not wish to draw attention to himself but then he thought 'Why would the package come here?', he then shrugged his shoulders as he went into the crowd, his body language went from being quiet to 'as if he owned the place'

T'Lyn looked around and followed the rest of her team, quietly so no one but her team could hear here. "I don't like this," she stated as they continued the search for the Commander. She still had that bad feeling about this whole situation.

Hurd and Ermey walked into a small building. A Romulan Sub-Lieutenant was seated at a console with a single door behind him.

"What can I do for you?" The Romulan asked Hurd and Ermey.

"We need access to that back area." Ermey said as he stepped forward.

"It's just a storage compartment." The Sub-Lieutenant said as he stood up. As he placed his hand on his weapon, he turned to find Hurd standing behind him. The Romulan tried to get into a fighting stance, but we quickly restrained by Hurd.

Ermey walked over the door and tapped the panel to open it. The door was locked, so he looked back at the console the Romulan had been sitting at. "You locked the ‘storage room’?"

“Deactivate the lock.” Hurd ordered.

Reluctantly, the Romulan did as told. Ermey took over watching the Romulan as Hurd slowly walked in. The room was dark, quiet…too quiet. A moment later, Hurd was slammed against the wall. As he turned, he didn't see anyone, but heard a voice.

“Who are you?”

Hurd was taken back, the person speaking to him was speaking to him in Federation Standard, English, not Romulan. He thought it was a trick, so he didn’t answer at first.

“You’re from Starfleet?”

It was a question, not an accusation. Hurd paused a moment, then answered, “Yes.”

The other man stepped forward again, “I’m Commander Horman, and we need to leave.”

Hurd paused, still unsure if the man was telling the truth. He followed him back into the front of the building. Ermey was still holding the Romulan Sub-Lieutenant back. Once in the light, Hurd turned around to see the man, and it was clearly Commander Horman, he recognized him from the pictures from the briefing aboard the Station before the mission.

“You can let T’Von go; he wants to go with us.” Horman said.

Ermey looked at Hurd, and then released the Romulan.

“We need to quietly leave the area. I assume you have a plan to get off the planet?” T’Von asked.

“Of course.” Hurd replied with a smirk. The four men straightened up their uniforms, then walked out of the building as if nothing had happened, heading for the rally point.

Meanwhile, Lennox was still being stared down by the Romulan and Reman guards. A few more moments passed, and then Lennox stepped forward, almost daring the guards to stop him. The Reman did step forward, and has he placed his hand on Lennox’s chest, Lennox grabbed the Reman’s arm and wrist. With a quick downward thrust he snapped the Reman’s wrist while holding him in a suppression hold.

“Is this how you always treat newly assigned members to his installation?” Lennox said as he looked at the Romulans. The Romulans exchanged looks, and then Lennox released his hold on the Reman. As the Reman stood up, holding his arm, Lennox reached into his pocket and pulled out his forged papers and identification.

He handed them to the nearest Romulan who looked them over, “My apologies.”

Lennox took his paperwork back, and then walked past the guards like he owns the building. After a few feet, he took a deep breath. As he walked down the short corridor, he heard movement on a room to his right. He opened the door to find a man trying to remove restraints from his arms. Lennox quickly shut the door back and walked over to the man lying on the bio-bed. He was hooked up to several wires which were attached to his head. The man looked familiar; he'd seen his face before.

Lennox glanced at the monitors, one was a biometric display, and the man was human!

Lennox helped the man remove the wires and restraints. The man looked up at Lennox and squinted his eyes, “You’re not Horman.”

“No, I’m Marine Captain Danny Lennox. I’m getting you out of here.”

“The Pegasus is here?” The Human asked, and then shook his head, trying to clear his mind.

Lennox was surprised this guy knew he served on the Pegasus, but figured he was a former crewmember and that’s where he recognized him from. He thought for a few moments about how to get the guy out, and then figured the front door would be the best.

He helped the man to his feet and carried him down the corridor. The Reman was gone, probably to the Med-Bay, leaving just the two Romulans.

“I need your help.” Lennox said aloud. “He is to be moved to a new location.”

The Romulans looked at each other for a moment, and then one walked over and helped carry the man. The Human tried to stand a little taller. He was disguised as a Romulan, wearing a Romulan uniform, and Lennox wasn’t sure if it was Commander Horman or another Intel agent, either way, he needed to be taken to safety.

The three left the building and Lennox lead them out of range of the damping field. He found an unused building and the group entered. They sat the Human in a chair, and then Lennox turned to the Romulan.

“Return to your post. I will let the Commander know of your assistance.”

The Romulan nodded, looked around for a moment, and then headed back. Once the door shut, Lennox pulled out his tricorder. The area was currently clear, but he knew there was no way he could get the man out of the complex without drawing attention. He sent a secure data transmission to Hurd’s tricorder, letting him know he’d found someone and where they were held up. He just hoped that once Jones and Sullivan had secured transport, they could simply beam him and the Human out before they were found…

Meanwhile Duvall sighed softly as he exited the vehicle repair bay he had found earlier, he narrowed his eyes as he found himself looking at Maal who was clearly waiting. "The Base CO isn't around here, lets move on." he said that since he and Maal had not arranged any code words.

Team 2

The second team had, for the most part, taken control of the space port with relative ease. Sullivan and a young pilot named Jorkins were dragging the last of the sedated Romulans into a storage closet, while Jones was watching the communications station.

"You're manning the evacuation shuttle, General," Phoenix called back to Andy as she heaved the burly Romulan up onto a cramped shelf. "No offense, but I'm more combat ready than you are. So that means I'll be the one creating the diversions in one of those Scorpions."

"None Taken. Carry On Major," said Andy

Jorkins, a gangly redheaded man of short stature, followed Phoenix out of the supply room as closed to door. He chose to remain silent as the superior officers discussed the final part of the plans

Andy looked around and waited for the diversion to start to run into the shuttle and take it from the Romulans, a lot of the success of the mission depended of that.

USS Vanguard - Bridge

At Yamaguchi's mention of the shuttle Andrew got up and moved to look at her console. "Keep an eye on it but do nothing to attract their attention. See what heading it takes, but that's all."

Instead of going back to his seat, he walked around the bridge looking over everyone’s shoulder seeing what was going on. This waiting was driving him crazy; at least these officers had something to do.

Yamaguchi nodded as she was already watching the shuttle the way she watched over her children when they were younger as she smiled. "I wish I could grab you, reel you in and then crack the nuts inside..." now that she said that, mostly to herself, she had an odd craving for Peanut butter and chocolate ice cream.

Team 1

Hurd had received the signal from Lennox, but having the Commander with him made he wonder, who was this other Human? He sent a message to Jones’ tricorder, calling for extraction. A moment later, the base’s general alarm sounded.

“Something’s wrong. They either discovered me missing, or someone’s been caught.” Horman said to Hurd.

Ermey ducked behind a corner and watched two Romulans quickly leave a small building. He scanned it, and saw no one else was in there. The three men quietly entered and secured the door.

“We’ll never get out with the base on alert.” Ermey stated as he looked through the window.

“I’ve sent the General our position. Now we wait to be picked up.” Hurd said calmly.

Team 2

Andy received the position from Hurd and waited... once the diversion started he raced to the shuttle and made it airborne... once he was there he sent a response to Hurd telling him he was ready and asking for a rendezvous point.

Team 1

Hurd sent a follow up message, letting the General know that the base was on alert and he, Ermey, and Horman were taking cover in a building and provided him the coordinates. He also related Lennox's position with the person he'd found. He wasn't sure of Maal and Duval's positions though and it worried the Colonel.

Duvall had just finished his sweep of the third small building when the siren started to scream it dreaded battle cry. "Merde." Duvall muttered. "I think we've been had..."

Maal looked around and then ducked as a disruptor blast shot past him. He then looked at Duvall,"Yea think we have been had." Maal ducked behind cover as he fired his weapon.

Duvall sighed softly. "Well now... this could be a problem." he sighed softly as he ducked back behind a wall as he produced a grenade, one of four he had brought with him, as his role had him serving as a trooper.

He activated the grenade and tossed it around the corner, there was a soft noise which quickly escalated to a high pitched whine as a loud crunching sound was heard while the grenade went off.

"We need to move... we can't stay here....options?" Duvall asked Maal.

Maal looked over at Duvall for a second, “We could back track." Maal then stuck his head out and fired several shots with his weapon nailing a couple Remans and sending them flying back.

Lennox was still hunkered down with the Human he'd found. He peered out the window and saw three Reman guards approaching his position. He took a breath, checked the power cell in his disruptors, then said a quick prayer...hoping their ride would beam them up before the Remans arrived.

She pulled out her disruptors and took a breathe, "I knew it," she stated under her breathe. She just hoped that the other team could get them out before the fight started. She thought to herself, how did they find out where not who we appear to be.

"Jones to Hurd... I'm outside your position I'm coming ETA 2 Minutes Hang On!!", he said once there was no need in keeping radio silence.

“Understood sir, but we may not have that long.”

"Understood...", said Andy and proceed to the location. Once he was there he went to the back of the transport and took a sidearm, then he opened the cargo door and shouted to the men hiding on the building "HURRY MAKE WAY TO THE DOOR I'LL COVER YOU."

"Beam them up, Sir. That's what your transporter system is good for," Phoenix spoke with exasperation, as she began to set a training program through the entire complex's computers (which none of them would see as a training program initially).

Within a matter of moments, an air raid alarm sounded through the entire complex, for which Jillian was already running to a Scorpion.

Lennox saw Hurd, Ermey, and someone he didn’t recognize running for a shuttle, and climbing aboard. He wondered why they weren’t just beamed up. Perhaps its transporters were offline? It really didn’t matter though, the Romulans and Remans approaching his position were less than ten meters away now.

Meanwhile Duvall and Maal were cornered so he tapped his combadge. "Duvall to Jones, Requesting extraction for two at my location, under fire and can't move.."

Duvall sighed as he produced another grenade. "I guess it’s gonna be like that..."

Maal nodded as he fired his weapon to give Duvall cover.

He primed the grenade for high explosive rather then stun and threw it down the hallway, where the shooting was generally coming from, it stopped as a Romulan voice called out right before a loud earsplitting crack echoed down the hallway back to Duvall's ears, followed by gout of flame.

"Come... time to go." he said quietly to Maal.

"You go first I'll cover you." Maal said as he fired again and again at the guards coming at them.

Duvall nodded. "Okay." he then moved off towards the entrance, upon arrival he secured a good position as he turned to cover Maal's withdrawal.

Andy got everyone onboard the shuttle and proceed to the cockpit, once there he prepared for liftoff, "BRACE FOR IMPACT WE ARE GOING AIRBORNE!!!"

USS Vanguard - Bridge

Deela stood up. She had that familiar feeling that something wasn't right. She walked over to Captain Clifford, "Something is wrong, they have had enough time to retrieve him. If we don't hear from them soon, we will have to change our plan of action." She wondered what was taking so long.

Andrew activated a spare console. Passive sensors still showed nothing. He punched the display up on to the main screen. "Admiral, the trouble with staying on passive sensors, small arms fire on the planet will be undetectable. We could go to active sensors, which would allow us to see what's going on, but that is likely to give us away. If there are any cloaked ships nearby they would be able to detect our sensor sweeps. But we could lock on and beam the away team in a few seconds."

Yamaguchi was listening carefully to what was going on the bridge but then while most frowned on the ability to split their attention, she found the ability useful at times.

Now was one such time. "Captain, the base has sent a distress call.." he reported calmly, what she wanted to do was to snap and throw something, but with sheer force of will, she overcame her own warlike nature. "I'm picking up weapons fire on the base as well sir."

Andrew glanced at his console, "In that case they have moved beyond small arms. Looks like a small war going on down there. The away team have clearly been discovered."

Deela sighed. If they interfered, they'd be discovered and if they didn't, the away team may be over their heads and not make it out. "We'll give them a few more minutes."

Team 2

Phoenix had managed to take off with a small flight of Scorpions. Now that the base was on alert on her training program running through their systems, she deliberately took the left rear of the fighter formation, and ran the universal translator.

Already, Phoenix was setting the other three fighters up for a devastating surprise. For a very quick kill, she would have to jam their communications, which she was almost done with.

What she did not tell anyone in the brief before, was she intended to steal a Scorpion. Given many fleets were opting for fighters over shuttles, it was important to have an enemy craft so as to analyze it and create various training simulator programs based off them.

In order for Phoenix to do this, she needed to take out her targets quietly. So once she was all set, Phoenix sent out a massive EMP burst she generated from port deflector, to the fighters ahead of her. From there, all but one went crashing back down to the hard deck.

Jillian did not want to have to engage in a dogfight with the final fighter, because she could see on her tactical display that Jones was starting to get some unwanted attention. That, and she heard Duvall's cry for help.

This meant the team was caught and Jillian weighed the odds very fast, and made the decision to engage Duvall's targets instead of helping Jones.

"ETA, fifteen seconds, Duvall. I would find cover," Phoenix quickly announced as she punched the throttle for a hard burn and laughed as the last fighter blazed out from his only engine finally giving away.

Phoenix often was known for hugging the hard deck a little too close for comfort. Maybe she should have gotten used to the way this loose bird flew as well, before she tried something crazy. But learning to fly a Scorpion properly would have taken too long, so Phoenix often fussed with the yaw rate as a result.

With an evil grin, Phoenix saw her target and laid waste to a communications relay station close by Duvall's unit. Which with her green disruptors firing nonstop, they caused the station to erupt into one massive fire ball. Of course, with having crippled the Romulans' ability to coordinate anything, this also meant Phoenix could not predict them. Each military force had their own SOPs, and that means ADTs could very well pop up soon.

"I need you to call out targets for me," Phoenix hailed to Duvall as she made for another pass.

This situation was the main reason she asked them to pop colored smoke before, in the mission briefing. They were engaged in precision warfare that computers could not anticipate without human support.

Duvall nodded as he came out the front entrance and he spotted several vehicles of various types. "Duvall to Phoenix, the Romulan's are deploying light armor near the entrance to the base and near the large hanger. " he said quietly. "Intent is unknown but I assume they are hostile."

When the comm-array exploded, the Romulans and Remans heading for Lennox’s position took cover. After a Scorpion passed overhead, the small group headed for cover instead of proceeding to Lennox’s position.

“Can you walk?” He asked the Human.

The man nodded and started to stand up. “We need to get to that building first.” He pointed to a small, non-descript building on the edge of the complex.

Lennox didn’t question the man, there wasn’t time, and he was already halfway out the door.

Danny followed the man, dodging explosions and weapons fire, until they reached the small building. Upon entering, the two Romulans there barely gave any notice to Lennox and the Human, they were too busy trying to rig up a portable subspace communications array. The Human took a deep breath and walked up behind the closer of the two Romulans. He saw a disruptor in its holster. He reached for it stealthfully, grabbing it. As the Romulan felt his disruptor being pulled away, the turned around to see what was happening, only to be met with a green beam of energy in the chest. In a flash, the Romulan was vaporized.

His comrade, heading the disruptor discharge, turned and drew his weapon, but Lennox already had him in his sights, and fired first. The other Romulan dropped to the deck.

Lennox looked at the Human, “Why are we in here?”

The Human took a seat at a computer terminal. “The base sent out a distress call already, we don’t have much time.” He tapped in a few commands, “Good, someone’s uploaded a ‘training program’, which should cover up some of this unnecessary shooting nicely.” He continued to tap in commands, then added, “This is an off the books Tal Shiar facility. It used to be a prison for people that the Romulans didn’t want the outside world to know they had captured alive. After the Dominion War and the Shinzon Coup, it was shut down and dismantled and a subspace listening post was built, then a small R&D facility was added…but three years ago, the listening post was moved to Bosva and the R&D to Gamma Crateris…we were sent in last month to find out what they were doing here when I was caught and Horman barely escaped, I hope he escaped.”

“He did, he contacted us to pull him out, but he didn’t mention anyone else.” Lennox started to become suspicious again. “What are you doing?”

“I’m covering our collective asses. The Romulan Government or Military aren’t as stable as they want the outside to believe. The Tal Shiar have their own agenda and seem hell bent on starting a war with the Federation. The Military’s stance is indirect conflict, hence their support of the Krazzle war effort against the C’Hakilians. The Government’s stance follows along with the Military…”

Lennox looked over the man’s shoulder, “Why are you accessing their database?”

“To make it look like this was a Tal Shiar Op gone wrong. If the Tal Shiar and Military are fighting among themselves, then that’s good for the Federation. If they ever work out their problems and get on the same page, that’s bad for the Federation. Since you and your people are disguised as Romulans, it makes it easier.” The Human replied.

Lennox watched the man for another moment, and as he finished he fired his disruptor at the computer terminal, destroying it.

“We need to get to that shuttle now, then have your fighter support destroy his building. The computer core for this complex is underground so the ‘training program’ and information I added will be there, the Romulans here just won’t have the ability to access it until an Repair Team arrives, long after we’re gone.”

Lennox paused a moment, then asked the question he should have before, “Who are you?”

“Commander Paul MacLeod, let’s go.”

Lennox followed the Commander out and toward the Shuttle. The name sounded familiar, but he wasn't sure from where though. As they climbed aboard the shuttle, MacLeod took a seat and all but collapsed, his adrenalin wearing off. He was still weak and tired from his ordeal. Commander Horman, seeing MacLeod picked up a medkit and sat beside him.

"I thought they killed you…they said you were dead."

MacLeod smirked, "They can't kill me, and I'm immortal."

Lennox called up to Jones, “General, direct Phoenix to eliminate that building we just came from.”

Just then Duvall followed by Maal had made their way into the area where the shuttle was waiting

Lennox looked around. It appeared everyone was aboard. Jones, Hurd, T'Lyn, Duval, Ermey, Maal, Horman, MacLeod, and himself while Phoenix was flying CAP.

"Understood," said Andy and relayed the info to Phoenix

Sullivan had to fight the yoke a bit, but she turned in to her next target and began to lay in a full spread pattern along the building's power distribution center with her main disruptor. This effectively started a wildfire of flames and a massive plume of smoke.

After the first pass, Phoenix still wasn't satisfied with her progress and performed a small barrel roll to put her back into firing position. With deft percission, Phoenix unleashed her mini plasmas, which obliterated the building.

Getting the fighter to the ship was the tricky part, and probably something she should of passed along to the command staff of the ship, but now was not the time, especially after hearing the calls for beam out. So Jillian put full shields up on her fighter to block the beam out.

"Team Beta to Control... We are going in hot!... Prepare to execute plan gamma on my mark," Jones said opening a channel to the Vanguard without letting the Romulans know the ship's name, he also remembered that plan gamma has been established as to them being beamed out of the shuttle and with him flying in autopilot as a decoy.

Phoenix however, started doing something very crafty as she started to enter space. Her fighter began to vent plasma and she secretly made a secure text message to the captain's chair of the bridge which simply read: [Open the barn door now.]

T'Lar was about to give orders to get them out but then she got the message and immediately reiterated Phoenix's order.

Another reason Phoenix was her callsign? She had a bad habit of destroying things she shouldn't, in very big flames. But Phoenix told herself that would not be the case here. Granted, she could not see the ship, but she was banking on the ship figuring out that Phoenix was going to land the fighter manually, while the ship was still cloaked.

Thus she eased up on the burn rate and continued to vent plasma. All the while, she occasionally would burn her jets, which gave the effect of having a defective of injured fighter, at least to the Romulans. And once she was certain she was about to go under the Starfleet ship's cloak bubble, Phoenix let out the biggest burn yet and ejected the spare parts compartment into space.

Thus effectively making the Romulans assume they lost a fighter that was in pursuit of the enemy.

"Sorry about that," Phoenix spoke apologetically into the encrypted channel, as she made a hard stop and began to angle her fighter for docking sequence into the hangar.

Meanwhile on the bridge, Torilla Yamaguchi smiled as she heard Phoenix apologize over the com, she knew that the other woman was completely unapologetic but that was okay, she had spirit and Yamaguchi found herself liking the Major, despite all of her other issues.

T'Lar was glad to see that one member of her away team made it. Lt. Cmdr. Yamaguchi, any sign of the rest of our team?"

Yamaguchi narrowed her eyes. "I'm reading some neutrino emissions, they are small in scale but they are approaching us... Last I heard the Romulan's had not been able to remove that issue from their cloaks." she explained.
"The away team is approaching."

T'Lar approached Yamaguchi and looked behind her shoulder at her board. "As soon as the shuttle gets in tranporter range, beam them directly to the ship." She moved back towards her chair, standing in front of it, "Lt. James, as soon as they are onboard, let's haul our butts out of here." Her thinking was that if they left the shuttle, that maybe the Romulans would follow it.

Aboard the shuttle, Duvall sighed softly as he slid his disruptor back into the holster. "Well.. that was diverting."

Maal nodded as he put his weapon back into the holster, winching a little at the pain in his shoulder:"Yea that it was." He stood there a bit dizzy for a second:"I think I got hit by weapons fire." As Maal hit the deck with a big thud.

Duvall turned as he went to the aid of the big Marine who had fallen in a heap. "Someone get me a medkit please." he called as he checked the Klingon's vitals. "Okay, we need to get back home RFN" he added.

Andy finished setting up the autopilot and the fake biosignals and went back to the cargo bay where he looked at the situation opened a secure channel and said "Beta team to control... MARK!!!" and then they dematerialized from the shuttle and materialize themselves onboard the Vanguard

Vanguard Bridge

Andrew listened as a voice came over the comm. "Transporter Room 2 to Bridge. The away team is back on board". He allowed himself a small smile and nodded to the helm officer, "Time to go. Get us out of orbit and then back to the Federaton border. There is no need to hury, warp 8 will do."

Transporter Room 2

Lennox let out a breath once the team was aboard the Vanguard. He looked over at Horman and MacLeod. “Let’s get you both to Sick-Bay so the Doctor can treat you for any injuries.” He glanced at Ermey and Duval as they picked up Maal to help him to Sick-Bay as well. It looked like Doctor Brislan had her work cut out for her as the ship made its way back to Federation space.

As Lennox turned, Hurd stopped him, “Who’s the other Human?”

“Lennox stayed back as the Sergeants lead their guests toward Sick-Bay, “He claims to be a Commander Paul MacLeod. When I identified myself, he immediately asked if the Admiral and the Pegasus were here to pull them out.”

“MacLeod…I’ve heard that name…I think he’s a friend of Admiral Bremer’s. We better report to the Bridge.” Hurd replied as the two headed for the Bridge.

Bridge

They were a sight. Still with their Romulan appearance, in dirty and burned uniforms. A few minutes later they arrived on the Bridge and walked over to T’Lar and Clifford. One the view screen, the welcome sight of stars streaking by showing the ship was at warp, heading home.

“Ma’am, the mission was a success, just not according to plan.” Hurd reported.

T'Lar was glad to see him, "Good to see you. I was concerned. What happened down there?"

“Well, several members of the team were discovered during the extraction which forced a firefight upon us.” Hurd replied.

“We made it appear to be a Tal Shiar raid. According to one of the people we recovered, someone on the team accessed the Romulan’s systems and activated a training protocol. Then Commander MacLeod added to it to make it appear the Tal Shiar were trying to access the facility’s systems, when that failed they tried to sabotage those systems. The Team being disguised as Romulans will only add to that illusion, ma’am.” Lennox added.

He caught her off guard, "Did you just say one of?"

“Yes ma’am, there were two. Commander Horman and a Commander Paul MacLeod. It seems they were sent in together and when their covers were blown, MacLeod was captured. Horman believed MacLeod was dead, so when he requested extraction, he made no mention of anyone else.” Lennox explained.

That was a name she hadn't heard for a while. She looked at Hurd, "I see. Thank you. Both of you, go get cleaned up. Once we get back to Starbase 400, you can make your report."

T'Lar watched Hurd and Lennox leave. She turned to Captain Clifford before standing up, "I'll be in Sickbay to check up on our guests." She started to step into the turbolift.

Andrew nodded, "Understood, Ma'am"

Yamaguchi was now greatly concerned about this new arrival, she did not know who Paul MacLeod was and at present, saying she did not care was an apt statement. "Sir, would you like me to send security to sickbay.... just in case we have a guy who's dressed up to resemble this Paul MacLeod?"

The turbolift door hadn't closed yet. She heard Yamaguchi's question, "No, that won't be necessary. I'll be able to tell myself." The doors closed.
