Mission: Mission 82 - The Aggressor
Location: Cestus III
Timeline: Mission plus 48 hours

It took a minute or two for Tressa to open a channel to the Saratoga. The Colonel was not on the bridge and had to be patched through

Andrew nodded and looked at the main screen. Colonel Hurd was looking back at him.

"Hello Colonel, We are going to have to leave the area. The Avenger has been crippled and we are towing her back to Starbase 400."

Looking back at the Captain with a concerned look on his face, Col. Hurd said, "sir, do you require any assistance?''

Andrew shook his head, "Thank you Colonel, But we will be ok. I'm more concerned about leaving the Saratoga here on it's own to finish the search for suvivors. I can only give you 24 hours, though. We will be travelling at warp but it will take us 3.5 days to get back to Starbase, if you leave here in 24 hours you will be able to catch us up. Any questions?"

Col. Hurd replied, '' Aye sir, could you please update me on our current rules of engagement, if we are attacked, and the current sit-rep on the Avenger?

Andrew understood the Colonels request. There wasn't much worse then being in a place like this and not knowing how far they could go to defend themselves.

He decided to give the Colonel as much leeway as he could. "Your rules of engagement are to defend yourselves against any threat, using whatever force you deem necessary.

You have a powerful ship, there Colonel. I would hope the Gorn has more sense than to attack you, but who knows.

Moving on to the Avenger. It seems that all the power except a few emergency back up cells were drained by the cloaked ship. The ship itself is ok, just no power. I'm not sure if it was an effect of being so close to the cloaking device or some other deliberate act by the Gorn. Either way, be careful. I will make sure you receive all the sensor logs of the static disruption that seemed to have caused the problem, in case they try it on you as well. Any further questions?"


Straighting His uniform a bit, Col. Hurd said, "No Sir''

Andrew nodded, "Very good Colonel. We'll see you back at Starbase 400. Remember you have 24 hours, then you must return to Starbase. Good luck, Colonel".

Andrew nodded to Lt Commander Brislan on comms, and she closed the channel. He looked back at Commander Lokran, "Commander transmit all the data you have on the cloaked ship to the Saratoga and Starbase 400. We'll give them the best shot at finding any survivors".

Commander Lokran acknowledged the command, and started transmitting the data he had been gathering.

Five minutes later he confirmed the data sent and the saratoga had acknowledged receipt.
