Mission: Mission 82 - The Aggressor
After having lunch, they went on their way to Hawaii to meet his parents. She was excited to see Hawaii but at the same time, she was getting nervous again thinking about it. She worried that they wouldn't like her. She continued to tell herself that she was being silly.
Lee sat down in the pilot's seat and got it ready to take off to his parent's house. "You need to stop worrying, trust me Imzadi my parents will love you."
"I hope so."
He turned to her and smiled as the shuttle lifted off from the ground and headed for Hawaii. He then reached over and pulled her onto his lap:"So tell me your thoughts on today so far?"
"I think it went well. My parents I can tell really like you. I think that they were just happy that I am getting hitched to a great guy."
Lee smiled at her:"I think so too. And my parents will like you too."
As he had his arms around her waist while flying the shuttle:"I think they are good people and just want to see their daughter happy."
"They do. They weren't crazy about me marrying Ruben. They thought that he was arrogant among other things. I'm sure you're like a breath of fresh air."
He chuckled as he kissed the back of her neck:"I was raised pretty good by my parents Imzadi. To me he was a moron."
"Well, love is blind. He was the quarterback of my high school's football team and when he asked me on a date, I was so excited. He was very good to me until I wanted to work outside the home. That is when I started to see it. He got worse as time went on. I guess he did me a favor divorcing me. I would have never met you."
"True there, they say everything happens for a reason. Am glad to have met such a wonderful woman as you Imzadi."
"Aww." She kissed him. "I did get something positive out of everything that had happened, I got Paul. I wouldn't trade him for the world. I wish your parents could meet Paul but there's plenty of time for that."
He kissed her back. "True there and Paul is a good kid. They will meet him when they show up for the wedding." He touched her cheek "I love you Imzadi."
"I love you too." She climbed off his lap after kissing him one more time.
He whacked her on the butt as they slipped off then got back to the controls "So are you ready to meet them?"
She smiled at him, "I am. I'm actually getting excited about meeting them."
He smiled at her "That's good you are cause we are almost there."
"Good." She was anxious to meet them. And she had never been to Hawaii either so there was some excitement for that as well.
They finally reached his parent's house "Well here we are Molaki, Hawaii." He stood up and offered his hand to her.
She took it and headed for the shuttle door with him.
He lead her out the door and to the big house his parent's own. They then walked to the front door and rang the bell. Finally after a couple minutes a big burly man with a flat top hair cut answered the door. "Father I would like you to meet my fiance Alex."
He wasn't what she expected. Alex smiled, "Hi, nice to meet you."
He reached out and shook her hand:"Very nice to meet you, please come on in." He stepped back
Alex walked in and waited for Lee to do the same. She glanced around the room.
"Stacy, Lee and Alex are here." Marcus shouted as he shut the door after they entered. "Please have a seat" He pointed to the couch on the living room.
Lee's mother then came out from the kitchen carrying a tray of iced tea "Am Stacy Lee's mother." She went over and gave Alex a hug.
Alex wasn't expecting a hug so quickly, "Hi, nice to meet you."
Lee leaned over to whisper to Alex "Sorry my mother is like that."
"Ah, that's okay. I don't mind." Alex looked back over at his parents and smiled.
Marcus and Stacy grabbed themselves a tea:"Please have a tea then tell us how you met our son." Marcus said.
Alex grabbed a glass of tea and sat down on the couch. "We worked together but never really talked. I had just gotten some bad news and Lee here sensing that something was wrong came over and we just started talking and the rest is history."
Lee shrugged:"Hey things happen when your half Beatzoid" He smiled over at his mother who smiled back.
Marcus nodded:"Lee tells me that you have a son named Paul."
"Yes I do. His father passed away not too long ago." She didn't feel comfortable talking about him to them yet.
He looked at both of them "Do you guys plan on having any kids together?"
Alex looked over at Lee and chuckled a little.
Stacy smacked her husband on the arm "Marcus!! you don't need to pry into their lives."
"It's okay. It just that it seems to be on everyone's mind. We've talked about it and I'm pretty sure we will have one."
Stacy smiled:"Well if you guys do have one will look forward to seeing my grandchild sometimes."
"I would like that. Sometimes, it might be difficult at times but visit as often as you can."
"Don't worry do understand with life in Star Fleet, Lee here was born on a starship so know all about it."
Alex was relieved, "I knew you'd understand."
Marcus rose after finishing his tea:"Am sure you guys are tired from the trip and would like to relax for awhile. I will show you to your room."
"Thank you. I am a bit tired. It's been a long day."
Marcus smiled "Welcome" He then lead them into Lee's old room "Here you two are." He stepped to the side then after Alex and Lee entered the room he left.
