Mike was in Sick-Bay, sitting beside Janice’s bed, holding her hand. Janice was still unconscious, and Doctor Brislan was running scans on her. Christopher was also still unconscious and Doctor Mclintock was scanning over him while Mike watched.
“He’s going to be fine. He has a mild concussion, but other than that all vitals are good.” Mclintock said.
Mike nodded, “Thank you.”
The doors of the turbolift opened and K’Temoc slowly stepped onto the Bridge as he took a deep breath. He saw everyone turn to watch him as he walked over to Harrison.
His eyes were still watered up, ‘damn human gene’ he thought. While both he and Mike’s physiology was mostly Klingon, the one thing they both had that was purely human was tear ducts…and they were working overtime today.
“Ran a complete scan of the area. Look for any ion trails, look over the debris that didn’t come from the Runabout, look for any residual signatures that might give us a clue who really did this.” K’Temoc said to Harrison.
“Scans show the weapons were Romulan, but you don’t buy that? Roebuck asked K’Temoc.
“No, the Romulans are much more thorough than this.” He replied.
“Ensign Baratan. Bring the Runabout into the Main Shuttlebay, go over it with a fine tooth comb. Look for anything out of the ordinary. Check if any systems were accessed, anything that might give us a clue about who did this. Mister Coleman, go over the Runabout’s logs, see if you can find anything there. Pike, contact Starbase 400, inform Vice Admiral T’Lar what’s happened. Ask her to contact DS6 and request any sensor data they have of ships passing through this area, as well as that Bolian ship’s sensor data. Roebuck, you’re with me. We’re going to talk to the Admiral’s friends that were recently attacked.” K’Temoc ordered.
