Mission 80 - Outpost
Location: Saith's quarters
Timeline: Current
Saith sat in the dark in her room, letting it envelop her completely. She had returned here after the Saratoga’s return but had not been able to sleep. It was not, she reflected, because of the loss of life, she did not seem to care too much about the men and women who had died. THAT fact was what bothered her.
With an audible sigh she moved to the computer terminal. “Computer on,” she waited until the screen lit up, “Computer pull up program Saith, Ocean, Zeta, five.” She waited while the computer complied. Still sitting in the dark, with the glow of the computer screen lighting up her face she delved back into her project. She had not given up on finding pirates or Section 31. She knew the answer was here somewhere and she was determined to find it.
As she deconstructed and reconstructed code, chipping away at hidden messages like an archeologist, she continued to ponder her lack of feelings. She seemed to either feel nothing, or something overwhelming, usually anger she admitted quietly in her own mind.
The excavation of information was excruciatingly slow. Saith was always intrigued with data mining, however so she really did not mind. She left the algorithms running and decided grudgingly that she would go ahead and schedule her appointment with the counselor. Prior to the last assignment, she was intending to hold off as long as possible. This last mission made her wonder if she should go ahead and make it. She let her computer discuss her schedule with the counseling computer and come up with an appointment.
