Mission: Mission 80 - Outpost
Location: Sutherland, Sickbay
Timeline: Current

The doctor turned as another wounded soldier materialized in her triage. The accompanying medic nodded to her and pointed to his patient's shoulder.

"Close-range phased polorion pulse injury, Doc," he said. A second later he was gone.

"Hi there," Tressa said, scanning the man. "Anterior deltoid tissue damage, humerus is intact, temperature and vitals normal for your species," she said softly. "We'll have you fixed up in no time. I'm Doctor Brislan. What's your name?"

The Gorn Sergeant looked down at the Human doctor and let out a hiss from the pain...yes even the Gorn felt pain.

"Agtxx, Gunnery Sssergent Agtxx." He said. Agtx was lucky he'd been hit in the shoulder and not a vital area. The anti-coagulant in the Jem Hadar's personal weapons meant it was nearly impossible to stop the bleeding.

She led him over to a side room where two other men were seated, one with his leg in a dermal regenerator. The medical team was using the biobeds only for critically wounded; minor wounds were being treated in two empty offices off the main workspace.

She heard the unmistakable sound of the transporter and ducked back out the door, but her triage partner Doctor Stevens was already attending the newest wounded. She turned her attention back to Agtx.

"This will only take a moment since the damage is only to soft tissue," she said, applying a large hypospray to his shoulder. She watched his eyes for a moment.

"Do you still feel pain?" she asked.

Agtx looked at his shoulder, "No." He paused a moment, then looked back at the Doctor, "Thank you."

"My pleasure," Tressa said with a smile. "Alright, let's get started."

The Gorn's eyes were slightly glazed from the narcotic she had given him, but he watched as she used a small laser to remove the now-dead tissue from his arm. A long moment later she stopped and adjusted the instrument, then he could feel his arm tingling as she knitted the remaining muscle back together and reattached a small part back onto the underlying bone. Before he realized it she was scanning him again.

"You've dropped to 24C, I think you are reacting to the medication. We can have you recover in another room where you will be warmer. Do you feel well enough to walk?"

Agtx started to stand up, but his knees were weak and his legs wobbly from the medication. He looked around as he tried to hold himself up. He saw a wounded Andorian looked at him, and he let out another hiss.

"Yessss...I can make it myssself." Agtx replied, determined not to appear weak.

She watched him carefully as he stood up.

"Excellent, follow me please Gunnery Sergeant," she said, leading him out. She made sure he was settled before she went back to triage to await the next soldier.

Agtx didn't like laying around, he felt lazy, like he needed to be doing something, but in all honesty he knew he needed to rest and heal. He settled in and laid down...but he was still eager to get back on duty as soon as the medication was out of his system and he could walk without falling over.
