Mission: Mission 80 - Outpost
Location: Essex/Pegasus
Timeline: Current

(USS Pegasus)

Bremer didn't have to ask twice. Alex went to her quarters to try to rest. As she laid, she tossed and turned. She didn't know if it was the adrenalin kicking in, nerves or both.

"Computer. Play Bach's Mass in B minor." Bach always put her to sleep. She grabbed a glass of red wine and sat down. She couldn't seem to turn off her mind. She was frustrated. She didn't dare take something to fall asleep. As she sat, she started to look at her ring and think about Pike. She wondered what he was doing right now, this minute. Was he thinking about her?

She said a quick prayer, asking for protection of Pike and others and success of the mission. Before she knew it, she fell asleep.

(USS Essex)

VAdm. Deela T'Lar watched as her bridge crew left. Clifford turned, "Are you coming?"

Deela shook her head, "No. I think I'll stay. Go, get some rest."

He left her to the bridge. Deela didn't need the rest that the crew needed so she opted to stay. She watched the viewscreen, the stars going by. As she thought about this mission, she hoped that this didn't end up in a giant fire fight. She has a family back on SB400 who need her. She hated these kind of missions. They usually ended up badly. All she could do is hope for the best. She was tired of loosing people. And for what?

Deela shook her head and sighed.
