Raiding the Pirate Freighter

Mission: Mission 79 - Triangle
Location: Starbase 400, Docking Bay
Timeline: Following 'Report from the Steadfast'

R'nard went out, still dressed in only his fur and a light equipment belt. He had called only a few crack Marine troops at the Admiral's orders, even though he worked best alone.

But he was not codenamed the Shadow Demon for nothing. He was one of the best in Special Forces.

He went out and made his way, already planning his entrance.

"You beam in here." he said. "I'll be elsewhere, making my way to the center. From here on out, all is silence until we catch the perpetrators.

He would be beaming in to a different part, surprising them.

It was well planned, and he did so, moving silently and swiftly.

The big Gorn Gunnery Sergeant Agtx let out a hiss, "I sssuggessst at leassst two of usss beam in here, near to their Engineering sssection."

Gunnery Sergeant Ermey agreed, "Secure their engines so they can't try to break the locking clamps and ram other ships docked." The older Human male checked the power settings on his rifle.

"Commander, we'll lock em down and be ready to assist you if needed." Marine Captain Lennox said to Lokran.

"Very good." said R'nard. "We'll get them."

The three man Marine unit then readied their weapons and awaited the order to move out.

"Move out." He waited for them to beam out before he did.

Lennox nodded, "Let's go."

The three man Marine unit stepped up on to the transporter padd. They stood back to back, raised their weapons to a ready position, then the order was given.

"Energize" said Lennox.

Moments later, they were standing inside a corridor near Engineering aboard the suspected Pirate ship. Seeing no one, they moved out toward their target.

R'nard set the coordinates himself and stepped on the pad. "Energize." he said.

As the Marines neared Engineering, Lennox checked his tricorder. There was eight people inside. Agtx walked up to the closed door. He attached a small demo-charge to the door and set the timer for ten seconds.

The three men backed off around corner and waited. When the charge went off, he blew the door open. The three Marines burst though the opening, phasers rifles ready.

One man raised a weapon at the Marines but Ermey fired first and hit the man in forehead, stunning him.

"Weapons down, hands up!" Lennox ordered.


R'nard knew that the three would be doing their job well. He had picked them out himself, and now, he was in the corridor leading to the tubes. He now disappeared into the network, and made his way through. He would know the way.

Silently, quickly, he moved as he went along to his goal.


With Engineering secured, the Marines called for a beam out of the eight people they had found in Engineering.

"Sssir, take a look at thisss." Agtx said to Lennox.

"Recent flight path. They visited Starbase 349 a month ago, then Draken IV two weeks later." Lennox said as he read over the logs.

"Yeah, and then a stop at Nelvana III." Ermey noted, "One of our recently released colonies in the Neutral Zone."

"The next entry has been erased, and then they arrived here." Lennox added.

"What's our orders sir?" Ermey asked.

"Secure all systems, wait for the Commander's orders. Sergeant Agtx, keep an eye on the corridor." Lennox ordered of his men.


R'nard was now on the verge of coming onto the bridge. He tapped his commbadge twice, the signal to move in.

Then, he struck. Knocking out the two guards in a lightning move. Two throwing stars disabled two more.

"I'd advise you to surrrender." he said, crouched in a fighting stance. He knew the Marine guards were coming.


Having received the signal to move out, the Marines raced down the corridor to back up Commander Lokran. As they neared the Bridge, they could see R'nard in a fighting stance, confronting two people.

Lennox used hand signals to tell his two Gunnery Sergeants to move in. They quickly followed their assignments and secured the Bridge. Agtx took position guarding the entrance while Ermey and Lennox flanked R'nard.

The pirates looked at R'nard and the two Gunnery Sergeants, and knew they were beaten. They dropped the phasers and put up their hands. The Marines took them into custody.

"Well done." said R'nard, as he relaxed from his fighting stance.

"Let's take them into the brrig. Belay that, with the condition it's in. Find a secondary detention area until the brrig is prrepared.

The three nodded and took them all away, while R'nard went to report the success of the mission.
