Report from the Steadfast

Mission: Mission 79 - Triangle
Location: Starbase 400, Ops
Timeline: Following 'Explosion pt2'

Mike had returned to Ops after looking over the murder scene in the Brig. He nodded to Clifford as he entered, then motioned for T’Lar to walk to the side with him.

“Pavlik and the Security Officer were both killed, execution style. Our bomber wasn’t working alone, I saw James Westmoreland in the corridor. Gave chase…he’s dead now.” Mike told T’Lar. It was the short version of the events, but he knew she would read the long version in his report to Starfleet later.

“Admiral, incoming message from the Steadfast, It’s Captains Harrison, Pike, and K’Temoc.” Archer announced from the Operations Station.

“On screen.” Mike replied as he and T’Lar moved toward the middle of Ops.

The screen flashed to life and the three Captains appeared.

“Admiral, we have Clark and James Winter in custody, Jon Westmoreland managed to escape.” K’Temoc reported.

“Good work team. I look forward to reading your reports. How did the Steadfast do on her first mission?” Bremer asked Harrison. Mike wasn't happy Jon Westmoreland had gotten away, but the Special Operations Team had managed to capture it's prime target, Clark.

Alex glanced over at Pike and K'Temoc then back at the viewscreen, "She did very well for her first time. It's not a surprise when you have such a great team behind her. Captain Pike here did a great job at Tactical and Captain K'Temoc was able to intercept Clark and beam him aboard." Alex smiled widely, "And the best part of this mission is that K'Temoc was able to get a blood sample from Clark."

Mike smiled, “I want Clark’s DNA ran though the computer.”

“We’re already working on it.” K’Temoc replied to his brother.

Alex added, "As soon as we find out anything, we'll let you know."

Lee was standing next to Alex as they spoke with Admiral Bremer and Admiral T'Lar:"Admiral Bremer, am to report though we had some casualties on our side as the Klingon Bird of Prey Koraga was destroyed sir."

Mike nodded. He knew if the ship was lost, it was in battle and the Klingons would be in Sto’vo’kor, but still he hated the fact that the Klingon vessel was lost. “Understood. I’ll inform General K’Vada and Chancellor Martok.

Lee nodded:"Also when you have some time when we get back to Star Base 400 I need to have a meeting with you and Admiral T'Lar about Ensign Bartaan."

Mike’s eye brow arched for a moment, “Very well.” Mike paused for a moment, waiting to see if anyone else had anything to add.

Lee blew out a breath:"I will inform General Torg myself sir about his nephew, Commander Koth who commanded the Koraga."

Mike nodded. “Good work, we’ll see you in a few hours when you return, Starbase 400 out.” Mike added as the channel closed. He then looked at T’Lar.

Deela was proud of her former security officer and her expression reflected how she felt. She smiled, "Not bad, not bad at all. Maybe we'll get lucky and find out who Clark is."

“I sure hope so.” Mike replied. “Any report from R’Nard’s team yet?

Deela could sense something from Bremer when it came to R'nard. She shook her head, "No, not yet. Don't worry about R'nard. As soon as he finds something, he'll let us know."

“Very well, keep me posted.” Mike flashed a smile as he stepped away and glanced at the Tactical Station’s sensor display. It was hard for him sitting in Ops, ‘watching’. He’d always been a hands on person, even as a Captain and as a Fleet Admiral…and it was hard for him to sometimes take a step back and let his crew do their jobs…but he knew he had to.
