Mike continued to look over his PADD as he ordered another drink from the replicator.

“Japanese green tea, hot”. As the cup with the warm liquid inside shimmered into existence, Mike started to read over the Starfleet Record of one Marine Captain Neil Hammond.

A long serving Starfleet Officer and Veterin of the Dominion War, Captain Hammond seemed to be just what Mike was looking for in a CO for the 181st Tactical Fighter Wing. The Human Marine had experience, showed a real knack for leadership and fighter tactics, but also he had that intangible...guts.

With the situation with the Romulans, as well as Pirate activity, Bremer needed someone that could get out and kick a little extra ass.

The Admiral looked at the time, then set the PADD down. He’d promised his daughter Becca he’d meet her for a late breakfast on the promenade and he didn’t want to keep her waiting...
