Just another day...

Mission: Mission 79 - Triangle
Location: Starbase 400
Timeline: Following the Avenger's departure

ON:

Mike had watched the Yorktown arrive and it reminded him of the many times he’d brought the Pegasus-A in for repairs during the Dominion War. Of course, he’d done the same with the Pegasus-B too...it was never an easy thing to bring a damaged vessel in for repairs, especially when you had to withdrawal from a situation.

He’d thought about meeting his brother to discuss what happened, but he knew if it was him...he’d want a little time to cool off first.

With the Avenger having just departed and the Steadfast departing in just under ten hours, Mike took the time to look over the Sydney class runabout the crew of the Essex had returned to the Station.

When he arrived at the secured runabout bay, he found Security in place guarding the area as well as several Security and Engineering crewmebers going over the small vessel with a fine-tooth comb. Might found the officer in charge and asked him to bring him a full report when they were completed.

After leaving the bay, Mike made his way back to Ops. Over all, it was another quiet day aboard the Starbase. All the excitement was ‘out there’. It was as it should be, all things considered, but Mike still missed being ‘out there’ too.

As he entered Ops, his Yeoman greeted him with a smile and PADD. Mike smiled back then glanced at the PADD. ‘New crewmembers?’ Mike said quietly to himself as he walked over to glance at the Master Situation Display. Starfleet was finally sending Starbase 400 two replacement Officers, possibly three. Good news for sure! He glanced at the names and information for each, and all three looked promising.

Maybe the day wouldn’t be so ‘normal’ after all...
