Mission:
Mission 79 - Triangle
Location: USS Yorktown
Timeline: Following Bremer and K'Temoc's JP
ON:
K'Temoc leaned back in the Captain's chair, looking around the Bridge of the Yorktown. Everyone was still working on repairs to the ship, but there was little they could do without the support facilities of the starbase.
After a few moments, he tapped the comm panel, "Computer, begin Captain's Log."
The computer beeps in compliance...
"Captain's Log, Stardate 65957.1. We're at warp two in-route back to Starbase 400 for major repairs. I want to be sure to note the crews exceptional effort in getting the ship's systems back online as best they can."
"Once we return to the station I'm giving the Command Crew twelve hours to relax before we depart aboard the USS Steadfast. This will be my first time aboard a Diligent class vessel. She's bigger than a Defiant, carries more firepower."
"I feel a little odd about it though, this will be my first command of a ship other than a Defiant class...and first of a ship other than the Yorktown since her commissioning thirteen years ago...in a way I wouldn't mind finding the ol USS Falcon and taking her out there."
K'Temoc took a deep breath...
"I just have this feeling that Clark is somehow one step ahead of us already...he always seems to be. He has to be getting intel from somewhere and after seeing Winter sitting with him, I'm sure he still has someone inside Starfleet providing him information. How high up the chain that person is...I don't know. What I do know is this...before all this is said and done, Clark, Westmoreland, and Winter will be sitting in the Brig aboard Starbase 400 and I'll personally throw away the key!"
"Computer, end log." K'Temoc tapped the comm panel again before looking up toward the Ensign at the conn.
"How long before we arrive at Starbase 400?"
"Just over four hours sir." She replied.
K'Temoc silently nodded as he watched the stars streak by on the viewer.
