Location: SB400
Timeline: Current

Deela heard that there was a ship that requested to dock because their ship was having some issues. They were given permission. Some of the crew left the ship to enjoy Starbase 400's facilities. Deela wasn't there to greet the crew because she had a lot of things to do. It was just a normal day and she would have never thought that there would be an issue later with one of the crewmembers. She heard from a few people that there was an Orion woman roaming the base. When she heard that, she then knew that this was going to be a long day. When ever there's an Orion female, there were going to be foolish men.

The ship had been docked for several hours and there were no incidents so far. She hoped that there wouldn't be any either. Deela thought this was a good time to eat dinner. She wondered what Raivyn was doing. So, she made her way to her quarters where she was greeted by her daughter, "Hi mom. What are you doing here? I thought you had a lot of work to do."

"Well, I have to eat dinner, don't I? So, I was wondering if you wanted to go to the promenade and eat."

Raivyn didn't realize the time, "I was doing my homework. I had an essay I had to write, I must have lost track of time."

Deela smiled, "It's okay." She hugged her, "You ready to go?"

Raivyn nodded and walked out the door with Deela behind her. They made their way to the promenade and sat down at one of the tables. A waitress came and took the drink and food orders. They were conversing for about five minutes when Raivyn saw someone walk in, someone she's only heard about but never met, "Mom Look. Isn't that an Orion?"

Deela sighed, "Yes, she is. Their ship is being looked at." Deela noticed that she had a Starfleet uniform on. A few men were looking at her as she passed them. A few seconds after she walked in, two crewmen were fooling her into the food place. They were making a bet who she would chose to be with. They were smiling, joking around but then, their demeanor changed. As they approached this woman, she clearly didn't want anything to do with them. They started to talk to her, trying to get her to let them sit with her. She politely declined. But they wouldn't leave her alone.

Deela stood up and asked them to leave. It took a few times with her asking them to leave, but they finally did. Deela was ready to join her daughter but before she could do so, the two men started throwing punches at each other. She ran over and grabbed both of the men by the arm and pulled them apart. She overpowered them with her Vulcan strength which surprised them.

Deela started to reprimand them, "Knock it off. Both of you leave or I will sent you both to the brig. I won't tolerate such foolishment." She added, "As long as she is here, you stay away from her. Understand? "

They both answered in unison, "Yes admiral."

"Now go your separate ways." She shook her head as she watched them leave, making sure that they weren't going to fight again. Then she went back and joined her daughter once again.

Raivyn kept looking at the Orion female until her mother approached, "Well, that was fun."

"Not really." She sat down, "I wasn't even aware that there was another Orion in Starfleet. I only heard of two in the past, so this is rare."

Their food and drinks arrived. Raivyn laughed as she thought about the scene she just saw, "Some guys can be really dumb."

"Some guys can be, but not all of them." She started to think about Jack, "I'm sure when it's time, you'll find the perfect guy."

"I'm not ready yet. I want to join Starfleet Academy and get a career in it. I'm not sure what I want to do yet but I'm sure I'll figure it out."

"Think about it now because a year is going to go by quickly." Deela was proud of her daughter.

"I will." They finished their dinner.

Deela stood up, "Well, I need to get back to work. I'll see you in a few hours."
