Mission: Episode 121 - "Where There's A Section, There's A Way"
Location: Bajoran Café
Timeline: Current

Dee, on a quick break, was sat in the Bajoran Café on the promenade. She had just polished off a medium spiced hasperat and was now finishing her fruit juice, when she spotted Admiral T'Lar walking by. She waved to try a catch her attention.

Deela had been dealing with several male crewmembers who were being idiots over a new crewmember. She at first didn't see Dee, then caught her in her peripheral view. She acknowledged her and walked over, "Hi, what's up? You doing okay?"

"Oh yeah. You look stressed, you got time to sit and chill for a moment? "

Dee commented.

"Actually, I do." She sat down, "The male species never seem to amaze me when it comes to an alluring woman." She let out a sigh.

"Well, having been one myself, three times, I know all too well that alluring women have an affect on the male species where the hormones somehow lower their ability to think. "

"Well, I'm not sure if you've seen the girl in question but she's an Orion. Two crewmembers got into a fight over her. The other one keeps following her around instead of doin his job. Thankfully, she's just here temporarily until the ship she's on is fixed." Deela shook her head, "I think I liked sitting around and waiting for Bremer to get back than coming home to stupidity."

The last thing Deela wanted to do was to start ranting, "So, enough about me, how are you doing? It's getting close. Excited?"

"She's an Orion? Oh my, that does complicate matters further. Stupidity and potent pheromones are a very bad combination." She smiled.

Placing her hand on her very pregnant belly, gently caressing it. " Excited, nervous, a little scared. Yeah it's getting close. "

"I get it. I was too, believe it or not. The first one is always scary. But once that baby is put into your arms, you'll be fine." She thought back to when she was pregnant with her son and that made her smile. She didn't realize how much she missed him, until now.

" You'd think that with the experiences of having twins from my 3rd host, Lerani, would somehow help but it doesn't seem to. From my last checkup, the doctor hinted that my baby is on the large side but healthy. "

"I'm sorry. I'm here for you if you need me there at your baby's birth. And the good thing is that the baby is healthy. I'm excited for you."

A woman from the cafe approached the table, "Admiral T'Lar, wonderful to see you again. Can I get something for you?"

Deela looked up, "Thank you. Yes. I would like a Mesto salad and my usual tea."

She nodded, then turned to Dee, "And you? Would you like something?"

" Oh um. Can I get a orange juice and a Greek salad. Thanks."

The woman nodded and left the table.

" I would appreciate you being there for me, but I wouldn't want to inconvenience you. Trill labour can be a rather long winded affair. " She paused, placing her hand on her very pregnant belly. " Someone is a wriggly little boy. Do you want to feel? " She asked.

"I would." She reached over and laid her hand on her belly, "Very active kid. Brings back memories." Pulling her hand away, she couldn't stop smiling. "I definitely would love to be there for you. Besides Starbase 400, I really have nothing going on in my life. Jack's probably never coming back, Brandon is in the academy and Raivyn is getting older. She doesn't need me as much as she used to. It isn't an inconvenience. really."

" Ok then. It's a date. " She laughed." If I'm not able with being preoccupied, you can help keep Jaxon alert by occasionally prodding him. "

Deela laughed too, "I would love to. That is what I do best."

Two crewmen sat down near them and were laughing and making very crude comments about the Orion woman. Deela just rolled her eyes as she shook her head. She sighed, "I'll be so happy when she's gone." One of the men realized who they were sitting near and nudge his friend, knowing that Deela had extraordinary Vulcan hearing. They both discontinued their crude conversation.

Dee glanced briefly over to the two crewmen, with a look of distaste. Their eyes met briefly after which the two men looked away in embarrassment.

The lady arrived with their food and beverages.

" Enjoy" she announced before heading away from the table.

"Wow, look at the size of those feta cheese cubes. Fabulous" Dee commented.

Jaxon started to make his approach into the promenade. His heart skipped a beat, as he looked around at the Sea of people, each one of them going on about their daily life on the station. It had been a short time since they were both were back together and Dee, was now starting to show and have her true motherly glow about her. It did not take him very long to find her, she was talking to Admiral T'Lar. At first he debated about waiting till their conversation was done, but he knew that Dee would want him to come over. He slowly made his way over. "I hope I'm not interrupting."

"Oh darling, I didn't expect to see you till later. You're not interrupting, and I am sure the Admiral won't mind you joining us. Right, Admiral?"

Jaxon hoped the Vulcan admiral, was in a good mood. He had a hard time reading the facial expressions of a Vulcan. He heard that she was reasonable, but most Vulcans he knew did not like surprises or changes. And his early arrival was unexpected. He hoped that T'Lar was in a good mood and did not mind being surprised.

"No, you're not interrupting. That's fine." She motioned to Jaxon, "Please, have a seat." People seemed to forget that she was also Betazoid and human. She smiled to let him know she was fine with him joining them.

Dee pulled out the empty seat next to her, patting it with her hand. "Come on over, my love, sit with us. "

"Thank you, sorry for the sudden visit. I just could not wait to see you." Jaxon said with a warm grin on his face. It been too long since they had last seen each other, due to the complications of the missions. And he just got back from a quick deployment, he had joined the crew of the Falcon, as they did another patrol.

"We've both missed you. Dee replied, her hand gently caressing her pregnant belly.

"The good news is I have some downtime. I'm not sure what your schedule looks like?" Jaxon said, hoping that the Admiral did not feel like a third wheel. He debated whether to say something to her, but at the moment he was focusing on Dee.

"I will have to check my schedule when I get back to my office, but I am currently on lighter duties being 7 months pregnant. " Dee replied.

Jaxon rubbed her belly. "I can't wait to hold you, little one." He said with a warm grin on his face. "Admiral, can you spare her for a few hours?" Jaxon asked, as he looked to T'Lar.

Dee gave him a look. She wondered what he was planning.

Deela couldn't help but smile, "I can. Right now, there's nothing going on, so take all the time you need." She would inquire later.

Dee smiled, she turned towards Jaxon. "What you got in mind?"

"Holographic beach stroll, a few lounges and soft tropical music playing in the background " Jaxon said to her, hoping she could see his plan for the two them in her mind.

"Sorry Admiral, my gorgeous fiancé has my full attention. Lead on, gorgeous."

"Sorry Ma'am." Jaxon said, as he took Dee's hand to help her up so they could leave together. "I think this holodeck trip is what we need." Jaxon said as the two of them started to talk, as the scene fades away.
