Mission:
Episode 119 - "Shattered Mirror"
Location: The Mirror Universe
Timeline: Current
We transverse down a dark corridor, its lights dim and flickering. We turn a corner and enter a large room through a pair of doors. Darcot Gebhop, a known Orion Crime Boss, sits at a table with his associates. There is not a sober person at that table. The gang is celebrating another haul of profit.
A young woman is seen coming out of another room, carrying a tray of drinks. She is wearing shabby clothes that are torn in many places. Despite the dim lights, we can see the bruises on her arms and legs. She approaches the table and puts down the tray. She turns to leave but is forcefully grabbed by Darcot's strong hand, pulling her onto his lap.
He runs his hand down her hair. It's at this point that we see her face, Deezell. But not our Deezell, her mirror counterpart in the dark and dangerous mirror universe. She tries to get off his lap as he strokes her face, but he tightens his grip.
"You're mine now bitch. You really thought you could make a deal with me and get rich by betraying your family? I am the only one who gets rich here, and thanks to you, we did, but your foolishness cost you everything, including the lives of your parents, who clearly were too stubborn to see a good deal when it was right in front of them. Now go make yourself pretty. " he finished throwing her off of his lap, and she landed in a heap on the floor. She looked back at him, the hatred swelling inside her, but she dared not let him see it.
She headed back to the other room, slumped onto her shabby bed and with her head in her hands, she sobbed.
In a foolish act of greed, Deezell Timurs tried to make a deal with the Gebhop Crime Syndicate to get herself off the Trill Homeworld and be independent of her parents. But the whole scheme backfired, resulting in the deaths of her parents and her immediate family, and all of their wealth and possessions plundered. She was now alone and in the abusive servitude of Darcot Gebhop. Her life now belonged to him.
She wasn't going to stay like this. She was doing anything she could to find a way to escape, hiding items that she could use when the time was right. She had no idea what she would do if she managed to escape, where she could go, or even if she could escape.
Wiping the tears from her face, she put on one of the many skimpy, revealing outfits she was forced to wear so Darcot and his associates could leer over her. She had to use all her willpower to resist lashing out when they groped her every time they had a drunken gathering. Hope was the only thing she had. Hope that she could get away and somehow atone for her mistake.
