Mission:
Episode 119 - "Shattered Mirror"
Location: Jaxon's Quarters
Timeline: MD2
Sometime it passed and Jaxon was just sitting in his quarters, he had agreed to meet Dee there later in the night. He had done his best to prepare for Dee’s arrival.
Dee arrived outside Jax’s quarters. She pressed the chime on the door. She was still in her uniform as she was unable to change as she had originally planned due to an overrun in Engineering. She was somewhat flustered.
“Running late are we?” Jaxon said with a warm smile on his face, as he opened the door for her. He had a feeling that she seemed overwhelmed. He was 100% certain though, sometimes reading women's emotions was tough for him.
Dee groaned as she marched into Jaxon ‘s quarters. She took off her tool belt, not Starfleet issue, something she had developed over time as an engineer, draping it over the back of a chair and then slumping into the one next to it.
“Some people really need to take better care of their equipment. That’s the third flux re-modulator we have had to replace this week. I mean, the thing is 30 centimeters long, weighs 3 and half pounds and has flashing lights on it. How the hell can you not spot it in a plasma conduit before leaving to re-engage the flow? Seriously? “ She looked at Jax, now looking a little worried.
“I’m sorry about this. I am very protective of essential equipment. “ She added.
“Some people are lazy, and I personally hate that myself? Sadly we have to work with them.” Jaxon said as you pulled her in close to give her a big hug, to show his expressions that he actually cared, about the topic she was bringing up. That would have frustrated him too.
She hugged him tightly and sighed. “I seriously need something to take my mind off of these issues. Got anything that would help? “ She asked.
“Only thing I can think of is tea.” Jaxon said teasingly. He had other ideas, but they weren't medically prescribed ideas. Right now he was trying to be sincere. The only thing that came to his mind was tea.
“A cup of tea would be very good. I might take off my uniform. Did I leave any spare clothes here? “ she asked.
“I believe you have some in the top drawer over there, it's amazing how fast you took over that drawer.” Jaxon said with a loving smile on his face, he really didn't care that she took it over.
“Great. “ Dee headed over to the set of drawers, taking out a top and bottom set. She took off her uniform. Then began to sort the spare clothes in just her bra and panties.
Jax appreciated how comfortable she felt around him. He was trying to be respectful, but the sight of her body really brought a smile out. “I was wondering, do you have any plans for later tonight? I know the station is having some kind of musical performance, I was kind of hoping maybe we could go together.”
He was trying to show her that their relationship was more than just physical intimacy. As of late it seems like it turned into a physical relationship, which he wasn't necessarily against. Cuz he did really like her but he wanted to show her that they were more than just lovers.
She turned around. She had her top on. “Oh that sounds great. I love music of various kinds. Any idea as to what sort of music will be played?” She asked as she put on some tracksuit bottoms.
“Andorian Opera, I heard it's supposed to be a good performance.” Jaxon said. He had never been to an opera of this type of nature, but he was interested in learning more about it. Plus he wanted to show his girl friend, that he could expand his horizons.
“Wow. It has been ages since I saw some Andorian Opera. The last time was when Azrel was on
shore leave on Andoria. She and Captain Tristan Faust managed to get some tickets for a performance one evening. That was, what, 138 years ago. I have, of course, listened to Andorian Opera but that was the last time I saw a performance. None of my hosts after that got around to it, can you believe that?” Dee commented.
“So, yeah, sounds great. I do hope they include the gorgeous aria by Wosor Fercott. “
“I have no idea who that is, but I am eager to learn.” Jaxon said, he wanted to know about the things she was interested in.
“Wosor Fercott was an Andorian composer from the late 22nd century. He was very popular during his time. An Andorian Mozart of sorts. But his operas and other works really took flight in the 2240’s. One of his compositions, Timeless, was played at the funeral of Torbin Vox in 2264.”
“Azrel, became my second host and was back on duty as a young Lieutenant Junior Grade aboard the USS Excalibur before getting promoted to Lieutenant aboard USS Midway. Sorry did I ramble on again?” She smirked.
“I don't mind, plus I like learning about your symbiotes previous experiences cuz I know it will impact influence your life. So don't think that you're just rambling, think about it more as you're allowing me to know more details about your personal life and solidifying our bond together. Wow did that sound cheesy? But I meant it, I am curious to know more about you.” Jaxon said from the heart, maybe she was rambling but he didn't care he was interested in what she had to say.
“Awww I want to know more about you too. I am not your average joined Trill though. I got no training as an initiate so I've had to learn to handle being joined as I go. My experiences of my previous hosts certainly do impact my life. I found myself drinking a glass of Apple juice the other day. I, Deezell, haven't tried it before but it was the breakfast juice of choice for Raekwon. I hadn't realised I had ordered a glass till I got to a table. “ Dee commented.
“Apple juice. I don't think I've had a glass of apple juice in years.” Jaxon said as he looked to Dee. He knew that was a human drink, but it had a funky taste to it for his liking. It wasn't bad it was just weird. “So did you like it?” He asked. Trying something and liking it with two different things.
“Tangy but sweet. Yes, very much so. You should try some. “ Dee replied. “I'm told it's good for you in moderation of course. “ She added.
“I'm not sure, but sign me up, I guess.” Jaxon was a little hesitant, but he did not want to look like a weakling in front of his girl.
“OK, next time we have breakfast together, you can try some of mine first, just in case you don’t like Apple juice. “ Dee replied.
“Sounds like a date to me.” Jaxon said with loving eyes, as is scene starts to fade away.
“Definitely” Dee replied giving Jax a long loving kiss on the lips as the scene fades out.
