Mission: Episode 118 - "It's About Family"
Location: Starbase 400

ON:

It was the day following the wedding of Ezekiel and Anna. Things were quiet aboard Starbase 400. A handful of freighters were due in today, and repair teams expected to have work completed on all of the station's support ships within the next couple of months. Several Starships were also due in, many suffering damage during the Borg take over at Earth.

The new Yorktown along with the Visionary, Venture, Warspite, Vanguard, Luna, Europa, and Sutherland. Thankfully, none were worse for ware.

K'Temoc walked through Ops and into Bremer's office. He carrier a cup of coffee with him, something he didn't often drink.

"Late night?" Mike asked.

"Yeah, still recovering, and I stayed out late at the wedding reception." K'Temoc replied as he took a seat then a sip. "You cut out early."

Mike nodded. "Weddings aren't something I enjoy."

K'Temoc nodded. He knew. As happy as his brother was for the newlyweds, Mike had lost both of his wives in the line of duty now and while 'time heals', it was still a trauma he was working through.

"I was able to get Command to sign off on the Yorktown's NCC number resignation to 1717-G." Mike added, changing the subject.

"Thank you." K'Temoc replied. "What was NCC-97422 named before the 'F' was destroyed?"

Mike tapped a few buttons on a PADD. "Um, the USS Jesse L. Brown. They already named another Echelon class ship for him that's in construction."

"Echelon class. It's not a bad ship, the class has potential...but it'll take some getting use to after commanding a Defiant class for so long." K'Temoc replied.

Mike nodded, he understood. "I know you wanted a Defiant, even with production slowing."

"So what now?" K'Temoc asked. "He was referring to the recent tragedy at Earth as well as the events that recently played out at Starbase 400 more so than any plans for the day."

"We take one step at a time and move forward." Mike replied.
