The Family

Timeline: MD01 1400 hours

It had been over five years since Ezekiel saw his family in person. He had spoken to them several times by subspace. He was anxious to see them. He hoped Anna could not see it. He was trying to be strong for her, and for him.

Anna reached out and took his hand in hers and squeezed gently. “I’m looking forward to meeting your family.”

"You've met them before." And you have been on several calls with us. Ezekiel said, wondering why she was squeezing his hand. He could feel the excitement in her voice.

“I’m trying to comfort you.” Anna said with a small laugh. “I can tell you are nervous.”

"Sorry, I am a little on edge." Ezekiel said, feeling very stiff.

"Can I ask why? Anna said. "This is your family."

"Precisely my point. It's my family. I just hope everything goes perfectly." Ezekiel said, he hated disappointing his family.

“It is going to be perfect.” Ameri said with a smile. She was glad he had family. She had a few friends, no family to speak of.

"thank you for being here, it's been too long since we've seen them." Ezekiel said has he told her close, they were both in civilian clothing . So they shouldn't be reported for fraternizing, they were trying not to inconvenience the security team on Starbase 400.

“I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.” Anna confessed. “This is all leading up to our wedding and I don’t want to miss anything.”

"You're so good to me." Ezekiel said with a grin.

“That is my goal.” Anna said with a smile. “You are just as good to me. I am looking forward to taking your name.”

"Might as well you already took my heart." Ezekiel said trying to be humorous hoping that she would find it cute.

“And you are never getting it back.” Anna said with a wink. “Just like you have mine for eternity.”

"for a look at the two love birds!" A snarky voice called out from the near distance. It was Margaret she was Ezekiel sister. She was not alone her parents had a whole Entourage with them.

“Margaret!” Anna ignored her attitude. It was a part of the Bagwell charm. She looked around at all of them. “Welcome everyone!”

Margaret reached over to give Anna hug. "It's been too long dear." Margret said as she reached out to hug Anna. The other started to approach the two of them.

"It is so good to see you." Anna said with a smile as she gave them both a hug.

"you as well my dear, tell me how did you get this big fool to finally say yes?" Margret asked.

"We started taking bets you guys have been engaged for 3 years and you still haven't gotten married." Margret said, she could see that Ezekiel wanted to say something but Anna beat him to the punch line.

Ezekiel is going to make an excuse about their line of work and how busy they've been over the last 3 years, but it always been his intention to marry her.

Anna hugged her back and them turned to Zeke’s parents. “I am so happy to see you both!”

Carol Bagwell smiled as she reached in to hug Anna. "It's good to see you as well. Quite the journey to get here." Carol suggested to them.

"Sorry for inconvenience mother." Ezekiel simply said.

"It's never an inconvenience to visit my baby boy, I just wish I could have been sooner but I understand your career as you going to interesting places, granted most of its classified and be on my level of classification." Carol reminded her son. She would have preferred if they would have came and visited her. If you understand that he was in special operations and a lot of his missions would be classified and she always worried about him.

“I’m just glad that all of you were able to make it for our wedding.” Anna said with a smile. “I can’t wait to talk to you about what we have planned.”

"Have you chosen your maid of honor?" Lynn asked, expecting her to say yes. She was hoping that she could be one of the bridesmaids.

“Sarah Rodgers.” Anna replied with a smile. “And so far I have one bridesmaid, Aubrey Miller from the falcon crew. I was hoping you would like to be the other one.”

Lynn had a big green on her face and actually nodded yes and then said. "Thank you."

Margaret wasn't sure how to feel about that, he felt like he was closer to Anna then Lynn was.

“Thank you.” Anna said with a smile. She needed to talk to Zeke as soon as they were alone. They hadn’t really talked about how many were going to be in the bridal party.


"It's been a long journey have you guys arranged quarters for us?" Carol asked Ashley looked to both Ezekiel and Sarah.

“Forgive us.” Anna said apologetically. “We will take you there now.” She looked to Zeke who had taken care of that.

"Of course my apologies, I have you in the VIP suites." Ezekiel said. The cool thing about these sweets where they're really close to his room but not too close he still wanted a little bit of separation.

As they started to walk, Anna moved closer to Margaret. "I would like you to be a bridesmaid as well and to help me pick out your dresses."

"I would be honored, will your maid of honor be joining us I would love to meet her?" Margret asked. She was being sincere when she said she would like to meet her.

“Yes.” Anna nodded. “Sarah is coming to dinner this evening.” She and Zeke had invited his crew as well.”

"the crew, we haven't seen the ship yet." Thomas said as he decided to chime in.

Sarah looked over to Zeke. “Are you able to take us on a tour of your ship while they are working on it?”

"actually she's done, I'm pretty sure I could arrange it to her she just docked for the moment, Admiral Bremer tells me it's temporary." Zeke said with a big grin on his face, that quickly faded when he saw his dad's look and his raised eyebrow.

"What she called again the Osprey?" Thomas said in a teasing voice he knew the ship was called the Falcon, deep down he was very proud of Zeke. He noticed that Zeke remain quiet he still had not worked up a sense of humor.

He debated by moving the conversation forward when you noticed Anna was going to say something.

“That is good news.” Anna said with a smile. “I am looking forward to this tour.” She knew his crew was anxious to get back on board.

"me as well, I went through during the refit tour there is a couple of minor modifications. It made some tweaks to sick Bay until our targeting systems of the Tactical array." Zeke said to Anna almost forgetting that his parents are right next to him.

Anna raised an eyebrow. “I’m interested in seeing your sickbay.” She smiled then. “A little jealous maybe too.” She loved her job but missed the family element on the Falcon.

"let's get our folks settled and then we can look at a tour." Zeke said it as a scene starts to fade away.

“That sounds good to me.” Anna smiled. “Shall we head there?” She looked to his mother.

Zeke just grinned as the scene starts to fade away.

Anna started to talk to Zeke’s mom as they continued on their way.
