After finally reading, the best she could, through the damage report, which one officer described as making the Doomsday Book look like a raffle ticket, Dee, with Rae's help, got teams in engineering to focus on repairing what they could. The damage was extensive and in some places, catastrophic.

Dee stood to one side of Main Engineering reading through the reports about the destruction of the Yorktown and the damage done, as a result, to the Essex, Pegasus, Saratoga, Falcon, Repulse, Kearsarge, Constantinople, Steadfast, Avenger, the list went on. Not one of the ships in the internal bay escaped the carnage. The damage to the station herself was horrific. She shuddered at the sheer thought of the casualties involved.

A young officer approached her. "Sir, I think we have restored internal communications. But we can not send or receive any communications outside the station. There is nothing left of the communications arrays. Only option we have there is to try and get the bay doors open and get a ship outside the station that has the least damage and use her as a communications platform. But, putting aside getting the doors open, the level of debris in the main hanger is crazy. "

"This is real shit-show isn't it." Dee replied. " Yes sir" the officer replied.

"I think we need to find out what else happening, now that we have internal comms." Dee commented.

Dee tapped her Combadge.

=^= Lieutenant Vox to Admiral T'lar, can you hear me? =^=

=^=This is Admiral T'Lar. And yes, I can hear you. This is working at least.=^=

=^=Indeed, Admiral. We are doing what we can to get things working but the damage is nothing short of catastrophic. Starbase 400 is going to be out of action for quite awhile. Do we know what caused the Yorktown to explode?=^=

Before she got a reply, she turned to one of her team. "See if you can locate Lieutenant Percy McWire." "Yes sir." the officer replied. Heading across the engineering complex.

=^= I would rather us not have this conversation over the comms. Where are you now? Let's talk face to face. =^= Deela didn't trust anyone on the base.

=^=I am in the Main Engineering Complex. We can talk privately in my office. =^= She replied. She turned to two officers and drew their attention to Raekwon. "Stick to him like Tiberian Bats whilst I talk with the XO in my office." She requested. "Yes sir." they replied.

Deela made her way to Vox's office. As she made her way there, she was shocked on how much damage there was. She was kind of grateful that there weren't as many people on the base as there usually was. She arrived at Vox's office. Once inside, she observed her, trying to sense anything out of the ordinary. She wasn't so she stayed, "I'm glad to see that you are unharmed."

"I was in Sickbay at the time. Technically I am supposed to be still there as I have a minor head injury. The wound has been healed but I still have a slight concussion. But, I was not about to just sit on a biobed and not take action. Please have a seat Admiral. I'd offer you a beverage but the power systems to the replicators is offline. Not a priority system at the moment."

"We were hit hard. We think that it was sabotage. I'm sure you know that a lot of ships were damaged, including my Essex. I just got that ship too when they retired my other one." She lowered her voice, "There may be some people on this base that are not who they are."

"Are you referring to the mirror universe people? I know about them, as one of them is helping me now. I managed to convince him that he might be able redeem himself in the eyes of people in our universe if he helped me. At time I was still somewhat unsteady on my feet and dizzy from my concussion. I have him under close supervision from two of my team. " Dee advised.

"You do huh. I do too but unfortunately, he left. He's actually my deceased husband's doppelganger. What I would do to have him back here to help." She thought for a moment, "Still, just be careful. They'll stab you in the back when you least expect it." She wasn't sure of she should say anything but then again, what the hell, "I suspect at least one of the Admiralty isn't who everyone thinks he is. I think Vice Admiral K'Temoc is a mirror person. I'm sure Bremer suspects it too. K'Temoc wasn't even upset that his ship was destroyed. I don't know what to do right now. They've already done enough damage. It's going to take time to get this base running again. And who knows what else they have sabotaged."

"I don't trust Rae but I needed his help at the time. I have him under close watch but I did warn him that if he did anything remotely against any of us, he would be cast aside and be on his own. Once, whatever the hell is going on, ends, it will take months to get Starbase 400 operational again. We might even need help from Starfleet. As for K'Temoc, I haven't really had chance to get to know him so I wouldn't be able to tell if he wasn't our K'Temoc. Lets just hope that he is. I have my team doing what they can to patch things together but there is only so much we can do with this level of damage. " Dee replied with sigh.

"I doubt Starfleet will be able to help us. I have a feeling that something bigger is going on." She sensed that Bremer was going to tell her something before the explosion but he didn't get a chance. "There are advantages of being Betazoid."

"I hoped you weren't going to say that. That means me and my team have a lot on our plates if we can't hope for help from Starfleet. We will do what we must to get the station operational again. Well, in some fashion anyway. We had an idea how to get us external communications. We know that the antenna are destroyed so we need to get the bay doors open and get a ship outside and act as a communications platform. We should be able to link up the stations systems to the ship and communicate. The biggest hurdle though are the bay doors. They are both offline and badly jammed. "

"With Starfleet taking 9 ships to Earth, I don't know if we have a ship but we might have a shuttle. I haven't gone to the shuttle bays yet so I don't know." She felt lost, "Do you know where Lieutenant Percy is? I haven't seen him but then again, I can't find my husband Jack. I kept getting he's on this deck and that deck."

"I haven't heard from Lieutenant McWire for a few days. I have asked one of my team to go try to find him. This is was before internal coms were restored though. "

"Okay then. Let's give them ten minutes to find him. If not, we can go looking for him ourselves." She sighed, "This whole thing is crazy." As soon as she said that, security was contacting her.

=^=Admiral T'Lar, security here. Lieutenant Xalanth just reported that an armed and hostile Changelings is loose on the station.=^=

Deela sighed again, =^=A Changeling? What the...?=^= She didn't know what to think. =^= Follow Lieutenant Xalanth's orders to a T. Has Fleet Admiral Bremer been notified?"

=^= I can't reach him. If he's in OPS, I can't seem to contact anyone there.=^= The security officer explained.

=^=Well, send someone to find him. T'Lar out.=^= She looked at Vox, "Did I hear that correctly? A Changeling? When it rains, it pours as the old Earth saying goes."

"Not good. I think another old Earth saying might be more appropriate here. 'The shit has hit the fan'. " Dee replied.

She actually laughed although the situation didn't warrant laughter, "That is true." Her mind was reeling with thoughts about everything.

"Two of me might be a good thing. It would certainly help with the repairs." Dee laughed.

The door chime to Dee's office sounded. "Come on in." She called out.

Mirror Raekwon stepped through the opening doors. "We could do with your help Dee. We have managed to get some workbees operational and they are starting to clear the bay of the larger chunks of debris from the Yorktown and from various damaged ships. We will have to store them in cargo bays until we can get the bay doors unjammed. We have a team of five in space suits looking at the doors right now and yes I am behaving."

Dee smiled. " Excellent. We have a long road ahead of us. " she paused. " Where are my manners. Raekwon, this is Admiral T'Lar. Starbase 400's XO."

"Hi." Deela observed him for a moment, "Good to know you're behaving. If not, I know where to find you." She wanted to get a sense of him.

"Well, there are two officers with me all the times. Dee's insurance policy so to speak. I might not be Starfleet trained but I do have a good set of engineering skills which seem to be helping so far. Where is the Engineering Chief? Surely Dee can't run this whole Station's engineering by herself. Not that I am knocking her capabilities. " he said winking at Dee who smiled.

She shook her head, "I have no clue. Trying to find someone on this base is difficult right now. Computers aren't useful either. He could be anywhere. If you see him, I'd like to know myself." She added, "And if you see Captain Solomon, let me know as well."

Dee, knowing that the Mirror Raekwon probably didn't know who the Chief Engineer was or who Solomon was either, smiled "Rae, ask the team if they have had any luck locating Lieutenant Commander McWire and also ask them to see if they can reach Captain Solomon. "

"Sure, no problem." Rae nodded to both in respect and left the office.

Dee stood up and moved over to a locked cabinet on the wall. Upon entering a code she opened the door and removed a hypospray and then added a cartridge to it and gave herself an injection. "Ah better."

Deela raised an eyebrow, "Are you still in pain?"

"A little. You see, before I coaxed Rae to help me, he did throw me into an underfloor compartment, down its metal steps and I hit my head on my way down. Before the explosions, a nurse healed my head wound but said I may have dizziness and aches and pains for a few days. I guess, because I am doing a lot of work right now, instead of resting, it hurts more. " Dee commented.

"Yes, unfortunately, we're in a war right now and need all the help we can get. K'Temoc and Bremer are injured too and yet they are dealing with this too. In Fact, K'Temoc refused to go to sickbay. They both could have died." She sighed, "Not to mention that the Mirror Pike is somewhere hiding on this base. Which reminds me, I should check on the Pike's later."

"I won't keep you any longer then Admiral. We both have a lot to do to try and get back a winning hand in all this. " Dee said, standing up from her chair and moving over to the doors which opened.

Being knocked out from some deck plating that fell down by the attack while doing routine check on the lower decks of the station. As he regained consciousness and found himself on the floor. He seamed to have lost all senses of his surroundings. His head was thumbing. He rubbed his temples to remove the thumbing. He was covered in cuts and bruises the rest of body felt tacky. His combadge got damaged as he fell. He slowly got up on his feet. He noticed the station was on red alert and on auxiliary power. “It would be good to get to main engineering” he thought and got on his way to engineering.

Deela left her office and was on her way to see the Pike's quarters when she saw McWire walking slowly towards her. She closed her eyes for a second, there was another crewmember hurt. She sensed confusion from him among other things, "Lieutenant McWire, we've been lookin for you. I see you've been hurt. What happened? Do you need to go to Sickbay?"

“As I was doing routine checks in the lower decks of the station I got hit by a sealing panel and got covered by it. I think I’ll be fine. I have some aches and pain. That will pass, no need to go to sick bay.” Percy said and in the same breath “What happened?” he asked the Admiral.

"What has happened is that we have been sabotaged. We originally thought it was the mirror universe but we're thinking it might be the Changelings who are responsible for all of this. many ships have been damaged including mine from the explosion of K'Temoc's ship." She wasn't comfortable talking out there, "Follow me. Lieutenant Vox is waiting for you."

They walked back to where Vox was and entered, "Lieutenant, I found, well, actually, he found us. I've told him a little about what's going on." She looked over at McWire, "I need to go check on the Pikes. The mirror Pike is running around here somewhere and he's very dangerous." She looked over at Vox and McWire. She needed to move quickly.

As T'Lar left. Vox smiled to McWire. "Glad you are OK boss. The Admiral has given you a basic rundown of what has happened so far, but there is a lot more going on. Especially when you consider that guy over there. " She said pointing to the Mirror Raekwon.

„Who is it?“ Percy asked „I remember only one Raekwon, He has passed away. I never got to know him personally. Is he dangerous? Is he a valuable ally?“ he asked

"He's the mirror Raekwon from the mirror universe. I don't trust him completely and he is somewhat dangerous but so far he has cooperated and been extremely valuable. However, I have him in constant surveillance." Dee added.

"Well done Vox. What task have you given him? What tasks are still open or have higher priority to get the station running again?" He asked. Then he looked into her eyes "How are you Vox? I have read the accident report“ Percy asked

"We have a load of tasks with a varying degree of both complexity and urgency." She replied, handing Percy a padd. " As for my accident, it wasn't one. Promise not to do anything rash but Mirror Rae pushed me down into an underfloor storage area. I am fine now, well sort of. I left sickbay before being fully treated due to the disaster that has unfolded. So I am taking pain medication. " She explained.

"I am glad you are okay Vox and back up on your feet. It could have ended for the worse. After we get the Station semi running again I want you to get checked out by the doctor."Percy said

"Of course." Dee replied. She handed Percy the padd of all the repair work, which was, unsurprisingly, lengthy.

Percy took the pad and looked through all the repairs. "There is a lot. We should focus our effort on the urgent Repairs for now and then move on to the more complex ones. This may take us a week or two maybe more. Lets get to it" Percy said to Vox.

"Yes sir" she replied with her usual enthusiasm.
