All Shook Up

Mission: Episode 117 - "Returning to the Mirror"
Location: Sickbay
Timeline: MD2 -1115

After her long chat with Mirror Raekwon, Dee reluctantly returned to a biobed as per orders of one of the medics on duty. But no sooner as she had gotten back up onto the bed, the whole station shook. The lights flickered and the whole facility went dark. The alert klaxon began sounding with red lights flashing everywhere. Dee was lucky not to have been shaken off the bed she was on.

Mirror Raekwon fell of the bed he was on and onto the floor with a thud, waking him up. The forcefield of his protected room fluctuated but stayed intact.

Dee tried to get off the bed to find out what was going on, only for the station to shake violently again causing her to fall off the bed and onto the floor. She clambered to her feet, pulling herself up using the bed she was once so comfortable on.

She surveyed the room, her vision still a little off from her healing head injury but she could clearly see intermittent flickering consoles and there was a smell of burning in the air from something. She tapped her combadge that was now attached to her medical pyjamas and heard the error tone indicating internal coms were out.

She headed over to the protected room and stood in front of the forcefield which was flickering.

"Hey, want a chance to redeem yourself in the eyes of people in this universe? " Dee asked. She sure hoped she knew what she was doing.

"OK, I'm listening. " Rae replied

"I am still recovering from, well you to be fair, but you did what you had to do in the circumstances, so lets move past that. You are not Raekwon Vox but you are Raekwon so I do know you as well as you know yourself. Well, at least our Rae so I hope there are some similarities, enough for this hair brained idea of mine to work. If I let you out, and yes I will get reprimanded for that, will you help me find out what has just happened and help us?"

"What would I get out of this?" Rae asked. A question Dee knew he would bound to pose.

"You helping us might let someone turn a blind eye and help you and your cause maybe. I can not promise anything, you know that but helping us could help facilitate it. " Dee replied.

"Well it sounds like some major shit just went down. Those shakes had to be explosions of some kind so its probably bad. OK. Get me out." Rae replied.

Dee tapped the console by the forcefield, which lowered.

"OK, work with me and I will make sure none of our security harms you but do one thing out of line and you will be on your own. Understood?"

"Yeah yeah." Rae replied. Dee got her uniform back on and the two headed for main engineering. Once there, and after Dee explained that the mirror Rae was helping her, they got to work trying to get some of the damaged systems online, starting with internal coms.
