Broken shards.

Mission: Episode 117 - "Returning to the Mirror"
Location: Cargo bay thirty seven.

Xalanth grunted as another load of reports fell into his inbox. Something was going on and he was determined to get to the bottom of it. Now here he was snooping through one of the stations many cargo bays for clues.

His head turned as the door opened. A smile spread over his reptilian face as the sight of his second. The white, grey/blue catsuit she always wore was imistkable as was the loving smile upon her face as he lips let out a " Beloved i thought i'd find you here."

" It's good to see you imzadi. What are yo........" The lizard began as he walked over to his mate before he froze in his tracks. Something was wrong. very wrong.

His brain wracked through both sides trying to place what was wrong. Why was his brain telling him his seconed was a threat. She was his compassion the always friendly girl at the acdamey who like her best friend T'para had helped him put his shattred life back together. Hel she'd born him....

That was it.

His gun was being drawn from his belt before he even knew what was happening. " Who the hell are you." He yelled so loud that half the deck would be able to hear it.

" What????? Xlanth it's me." she replied mimicking that voice that always made him want to hold her and keep her safe.

" No, you not. My compassion is three weeks pregnant with our next girl and you don't don't have her smell." he replied spitting at this thing daring to wear her face.

A scowl formed on Lenani's face. " Dam intel." it replied it's voice changing into dark hollow tone.

Xalanth fired. His aim was off his body was screaming What the hell are you doing into every cell od his body. It was nearly impossible for one of his kind to hurt their mates.

Yet this thing wasn't his mate. As his phaser struck it's body morphed doing it's best to avoid the hit. Seemingly splitting into two one of it's masses reached a barrel which it chucked at the security chief. It smashed into the lizard sending him to the ground as he fired again sticking the mass in it's centre. An unearthly cry filled the cargo bay as the expanding mass dropped tot he floor. With a ping one of the floor pannel flew into the air. Pulling himself to his feet Xlanth staggered over. It had smashed it's way into the auxiliary plasma pipes.

His hand flew to him comabdge his brain only thinking of one thing. =^= Computer location of Lieutenant Leilani =^= he screamed not even hiding the panic in his voice.

=^= Lieutenant Leilani is in your quarters =^= came the computers reply which steadied the lizard beating hearts. She was safe he thought as his hand went to his badge again.


" Xalanth to the bridge lock the station down and flood all auxiliary plasma pipes. We have an armed and hostile changing lose on the station." He barked into his combadge as he looked down at his shaking hand his body still trying to process what had happened.

He needed to see his family make sure they were safe ran through his head as he headed out of the door. That and find the captain.
