Studying Reflections

Mission: Episode 117 - "Returning to the Mirror"
Location: Sickbay
Timeline: MD2 -1000hrs

Deezell, being not a fan of sickbay, didn't want to be there but she didn't feel well enough to leave and the last thing she wanted to do was cause trouble with the medical team. But, she decided, she wanted to get off the bed and walk around.

She carefully got off the bed. As she stood up, her bare feet on the carpet flooring, she felt a wave of dizziness. She grabbed hold of the bedside till it subsided. She carefully turned around to see who else was in sickbay but it appeared, it was relatively quiet. She could see the room, with its forcefield where Raekwon was being held. He was pacing back and forth.

She slowly walked towards the room he was in, stopping occasionally to deal with her dizziness, grabbing hold of whatever she could at the time.

"You will wear out the carpet, pacing like that." She called out as she got nearer.

"Hey, look, I am sorry I had to do that, you weren't going to help me, and were clearly going to be a hindrance to my objectives. " Rae replied.

Dee grabbed a chair, pulled it in front of the forcefield protected room and sat down.

"You weren't going to ask nicely and besides, we are not suppose to interfere in the affairs of the mirror universe anyway. " She paused. "Are you really Vox? I know you are Rae, that much is obvious, but are you Vox? Tell the truth, put aside you being an accomplished liar for a moment."

"No, Vox, as in Jorran Vox, was killed by the Klingons last year. We couldn't save him or the symbiont. Our intelligence, flawed as it was, indicated that in this universe, Vox was then joined to Raekwon, well, the mirror version of me. That's why I was put on this team. If our intelligence agents had done their job properly, I wouldn't be stuck in this forcefield lined room. " Rae replied

"Raekwon, well ours of of course, died in an accident when his ship was hit by a quantum filament. He was rescued before his ship exploded but he didn't survive his injuries. Vox, was lucky. But, on route to Trill, Vox experienced health issues and needed a host urgently. I was the only Trill onboard at the time, so, I became the next host. " Dee explained.

"I know a little about joining but I have never been interested in it. Did you not have any training at all? You weren't an initiate?" Rae asked.

"Nope. I consider it on the job training." She smiled. "They will want to talk to you further. Just tell them the truth about what is going on in the mirror universe. " Dee replied.

"They wont help us. But, I suppose it would be best. " Rae replied, sitting down on the bench at the back of the room.

Rae and Dee continued to discuss the differences and similarities of the two Raekwon's, of which there were quite a few.
