Mission:
Episode 117 - "Returning to the Mirror"
Location: T'Lar's Quarters
Timeline: MD2 - 0930 hrs
Deela was walking, no, running in the corridors, trying to get to her family and warn them. She walked into her quarters and started calling to the kids, "Brandon? Raivyn?"
Brandon, who is 18 now, came out of his room, "Mom! What's wrong?"
Deela looked around, "Where's Jack?"
Brandon shrugged, "I don't know. He was gone when I got up."
Raivyn heard her mom and came out as well, "What's going on?"
"Kids, we need to talk. Something has happened on the base and we need to talk about it."
Both kids sat down, Deela joined them, "Remember what happened with Jack?" Raivyn was told about it and Brandon lived it, "Well, we had two people in the brig here from the mirror universe. One was Bremer's counterpart and Commodore Pike's counterpart and they escaped. I don't know if they are planning to get to Jack or not. But there are others from that universe that might be here now. So, we need to set some ground rules here."
They nodded. Brandon put his arm around his sister to comfort her, "I'll protect you sis." Brandon looked over at his mom, "I've been thinking about this ever since they tried to kidnap us. I wondered if there is another me and how would you know if it was him or not. So I had an idea."
Deela listened, "Go on."
Brandon sat forward in his seat, "Remember when we used to play that game where we had to have a code word in order to move ahead in the game? You could never crack my code. We should have a code word between us. Before anyone can enter, they have to give that code."
Deela nodded, "I like that idea. In fact, that is a great idea. It might work. Afterall, I don't really know if my counterpart is really dead. Just incase, we should do that. Raivyn could pick them for us. If there is another us, they won't know about the code and we should change it every morning before we go anywhere."
Raivyn still looked worried, "Are we in danger? Would they really come after us?"
Deela frowned, "Sorry baby but there is a chance but don't work yourself up to a frenzy, okay?"
Raivyn hugged Deela, "Okay. I'll try not to."
"So, Raivyn, what code word should we use?" Deela gave her an assuring smile.
Raivyn thought for a moment, "How about supercalifragilisticexpialidocious for you? And go ninja, go for Brandon and me?"
"That is a good one. I doubt they know anything about the 21st century on Earth. So, no one can enter unless the codes are given."
Raivyn started to repeat the code word in the voice of the character who spoke the line. It was nice to see Raivyn calming down now.
Deela hugged both of them. Brandon had just thought of something, "Mom, Jack doesn't know yet so how is he going to get the code word?"
She thought for a moment, "I hate to do that to him but you can't let him in until I know for sure who he is. Okay?"
Brandon nodded, "Okay."
Deela stood up, "Okay kids, I need to go find Jack and then go warn Alex and Lee. They are dangerous, more dangerous than Jack's counterpart. Both of you, stay here and don't go anywhere, got it?"
Both nodded again, "Got it." She hugged them one more time and then left, making sure the door locked. She also made sure that Jack couldn't get in no matter what until she had a chance to tell him. She knew Jack would be mad at first that he was locked out but would understand the reasoning behind it.
