It took awhile to arrive in engineering from his quarters but luckily he made it just in time. Butterflies in his stomach Edg'rrr made his way forward. He raised an arm at another ensign. "Excuse me do you know where I may find a Percy McWire?" The ensign blinked for a few moments.

"Sorry. I know Lieutenant Shrok is nearby. He is briefing a few newcomers in the meeting room over there." Said the ensign pointing to a door nearby.

"Thank you." Said Edg'rrr smiling and waving before making his way over. Taking a breath he straightened his uniform at the door before walking in.

"-and we'll be checking not only on capacitors and power flows but we'll also need to make sure the offensive and defensive capabilities are up to speed with the rest of the fleet eventually. Ah another newcomer, come in." Said an Andorian at one end of the room holding a padd in one hand and a schematic of the entire station on a wall behind him. A few others in the room turned to look at Edg'rrr as he walked in and rapidly took a seat. "Now, if we finally have everyone, one of goals of late is to make sure the USS Tikhov, or the 'plant ship' I've heard a few of you mention, is ready for departure. This doesn't mean just making sure the ship is ready but our own station as well. Monitoring, communications, supply generation, a lot of things the people on the surface don't quite understand as to what goes into missions like these." The Andorian tapped a few commands on his padd. "On your padds you'll see your assignments now. I want them done before the day is over. Dismissed." Everyone stood up at this time before walking out as Edg'rrr's assignment was as he expected, upgrade the main communications array. He blinked once before the lieutenant walked up to him as he stood up. "Ensign Anisu I presume?"

"Y-yes sir!" Said Edg'rrr coming to attention.

"I'm sure you 've figured out who I am but I like to know those under my current command. Particularly if they arrived a little late to an important meeting." Said Lt. Shrok as Edg'rrr became lost for words for a moment.

"I, um, woke up a little late from a nap after being a little disoriented. The XO of the USS Cushing wanted to see me." Said Edg'rrr as Lt. Shrok didn't look too impressed.

"I did receive a message from them. Still we'll see how you do with this assignment. Says here you are to update the communication array. Know that we've already completed most of the exterior work but we've left the internal systems to you. See to it they're done." Said Lt. Shrok as he walked out of the room leaving Edg'rrr, for lack of a better term, intimidated. Still on his way out he looked around for supplies before noticing Lt. Shrok was waiting leaning against a wall. "Tools and belt over there, and Jefferies tubes to Section C One are over that way." Edg'rrr nodded before proceeding to both.

It took awhile to arrive as the maze of tubes leading even from engineering to the communications arrays were expansive. Edg'rrr recalled his time on the USS Goddard and how going from the primary to secondary hull was surprisingly both more and less complex than people thought. Not that the tunnels were longer but some definitely were more cramped. After some time he found the first in the line-up he needed for the upgrades. "Alright, finally get to look at what we have." He pulled a panel off before giving a sigh at the sight before him. To most everything would look normal, to Edg'rrr everything looked like it was patched, poked, and replaced tons of times. "Oh boy. It's a bit worse than I thought." Edg'rrr took a moment thinking about what to do in order to begin. "Well, first thing's first, safety." He tapped a few commands shutting down and isolating any power into his area aside from what he needed. "Right, well I can see now why they want to start decommissioning starbases like this. It'll just be easier to do so than sorting through all this for every upgrade."
