| General Overview | Timid, slightly meek, and strangely nerdy among his peers he hardly ever gives up on whatever project he's doing nor leave a friend behind if in trouble, if he can summon the courage to do so. This lack however doesn't deter him from trying to experiment with various technology that are typically off the books or from looking into files to find out more about a certain topic for that technology or other topics most have either forgotten or want others to forget. Whether starfleet is keeping him out in the greater galaxy for his own protection or not he's never quite failed in assignments given him and certainly hasn't given up the dream to one day design better, safer, and perhaps more peaceful ships and technology for the federation to use. | |

| Personal History | Born on a caitian station within the home system he spent his youth fascinated by technology and starships but was often bullied because he appeared to be the "weakest" among others. In later years he found a way to leave the caitian home system and join starfleet to design ships but didn't get top marks in his class for it. Those around him say it also might've have something to do with him getting into records and files that upset people even beyond the faculty staff even if a few were impressed by how he did it. Still passing however he gained an ensign rank to serve on a couple of ships that did mostly patrols into familiar territories and systems. The first was an old Oberth class, the USS Goddard, that made him anxious every moment he served on it. When the ship was attacked once however he was noted by his commanding officer at keeping to his post despite his fears while the end of that report mentioned something about sitting in his room with the sound of birds singing later on. A personal log from Edg'rrr states that he had perhaps the greatest respect for the captain of this ship as he has no idea how this vessel keeps getting lucky. The next ship was a recently modified ship testing a few new technologies. A nova class refit, the USS Providence, a senior staff member recommended he be on it given his expertise and insight into new starfleet technology. It was this latter posting that earned him some positive recognition with starfleet command to suggest a posting out at a starbase. This recommendation was sent to Starbase 400 to help the station and crew with new technologies that might be sent in the future for further testing along the border. A recommendation Edg'rrr was hopeful and eager to be approved of due to the strange anomaly he read was out there that could help him crack a puzzle he was working on in his spare time. His previous vessel had to go in a different direction however so the SS Terminus, a restored if not modified Ptolemy class ship, was requested to escort him to the station in exchange for a few needed supplies as well as needing a temporary engineering officer as well to help get a few systems to regulation standard before their next destination. | |
