Lt. Commander R'nard Lokran, the new chief of Tactical/Secuirty for the Essex, was definetely troubled. Some pirates, former Starfleet officers had attacked an Andorian ship. So far, Special Forces had not contacted him, as this was one of the incidents they were usually summoned on.

He went to his new office and ordered the office sealed.

"Compliance." said the computer.

He went to the computer desk and sat down.

"Computer. Initiate secure channel to Admiral Bremer. Authorization Alpha six bravo four, code name Shadow Demon"

"Compliance."

The screen appeared and R'nard waited for Admiral Bremer to reply. He would know of all Special Force operations.

Mike trying was finishing some last minute `paper work` when the comm-panel in his office beeped. "Bremer here, how can I help you Mr. Lokran?"

"Sirr, I am sending from a secure channel, because this may be a Special Forces matter. We've gotten information about former Starfleet turning pirate and attacking an Andorian vessel. The Essex is planning to go out and investigate.

I needed to know if there were any orders I needed to rreceive from Special Forces on how to prroceed."

Mike paused a moment, perhaps the new Chief of Security wasn’t up to date on events at SB400, after all things changed at the speed of light and he knew his new Officers were still trying to get settled in and up to speed on their new assignments.

“There are no Intel or Special Ops teams within the Triangle at this time. We do know of at least three confirmed former Starfleet Officers working with the Pirate clans, all in the same group. They are lead by a Human called `Clark`, a man we nor Starfleet Command has been able to positivly identify yet. Former Pegasus Chief of Security Jon Westmoreland and his brother James Westmoreland are also apart of the same group. We’ve heard rumors of additional former Starfleet personnel are also within that group, but we don’t have names, yet. In addition, we know a few Starfleet Officers that called the colonies in the soon to be re-estblished Romulan Neutral Zone home have resigned and returned to the colonies. Captain K`Temoc’s Special Operations Team aboard the Yorktown are investigating that now.”

Mike paused again for a moment. With Commander Winter’s sudden resignation, the thought had crosses Mike’s mind that his former Tactical Operations Officer had also joined either the uprising colonists or even one of the Pirate clans. Either way, the fact that the USS Laffey was still docked meant another ship did need to go and patrol the area and look into who attacked the Andorian ship. “I want the Essex to head out in the morning to patrol the edge of the Triangle and run sensor sweeps, but not to enter the Triangle unless absolutly nessary.” Mike tapped a few keys on the panel to send the orders to T`Lar.

"Thank you, sirr. I will be rready and rrelay the information. Shadow Demon out."
