Mission: Mission 78 - Colonial Uprising
Location: Sickbay

On:

Commander Coleman had been working in Science Lab 7 when an EPS conduit overloaded in his console. Ariel and Amy transferred things to Science Lab 3 and continued the research from there, while telling Coleman to get to Sickbay.

After some nuddging to go to Sickbay, Coleman went down there and saw that it was quite packed with quite a few Andorians, as well as other species. Coleman walked around to see if he could find anyone and he finally ran into Commander Brislan, whom he had met earlier.

He waited for her to be done working on her current patient before saying, "Umm, hi. I was wondering if you could help with some of these laserations and stuff really quick? EPS overload."

"Oh, of course! Right over here," Tressa said, leading the Commander over to an empty corner. "I hope you haven't waited too long, we've been rather busy the last few hours," she added, motioning for him to have a seat.

He took the seat and said, "No, I just got here a minute ago. But, I've heard that we've had quite a bit happening down here in Sickbay."

"Oh, yes," Tressa said as she carefully cut away the sleeve of Commander Coleman's uniform. "Do you see the man behind me, about 3 meters? Is he still pacing?"

She paused as he looked over her shoulder, then looked back at her and nodded.

"Second Officer on the Andorian ship. He hasn't left his men for one minute since he came here, and we think he has a dislocated shoulder. He won't let us examine him until he's satisfied that all his crew have been seen," she said softly.

"This isn't too bad, but you will need to spend some time in a skin regenerator," she added, turning the Commander's arm gently.

He smiled and said, "At least it's not too bad. But, what's the story on the Second Officer and the Andorian ship?" He looked over her shoulder again, to see if the Andorian Second Officer was still pacing. "I haven't heard much of them besides they requested help or something."

Tressa went and got a skin regenerator really quick and came back to work on Coleman's arm. She moved close and spoke in a whisper.

"I don't know all of the details, but apparently their ship was attacked by pirates," she said, her eyes wide as she cleaned his wounds. "The injuries have run the gamut, from scratches to casualties. The Second Officer hasn't stopped pacing except to question the medical staff. I'll update him after I get you in the regenerator, and maybe he'll let me take a look at that arm."

She began to apply a clear gel to Jonathan's arm and thought she saw him wince slightly.

"Sorry," she said with an apologetic smile. "Almost finished, I promise."

"It's ok. I'm just never good with pain. Not even a simple scratch." He looked down as she continued to work on his arm. Then, he said, "So, how are the niece and nephew doing?"

Tressa smiled, "They're well, thank you. 'Zave is in Botany Club, and Kaylee has been hinting that she wants us to get a dog," she said with a laugh. "We're still discussing that!"

Coleman kind of chuckled and smiled. "A dog, huh? That's kind of cute. But, 'Zave is into Botany? I might be able to help him out with that if he ever wants to have a tour of the Botony Labs on the starbase, I can give him a tour sometime."

"I'm sure he'd love that. He's going on a class trip to Kaleb IV next week, they're going to visit a conservatory there," she said, as she coated the last inch of his arm with the gel. "Now for the fun part," she added with a grin as she adjusted the regenerator for Jonathan's arm. "How does that feel?"

He winced a little bit, but it was starting to feel a lot better. He smiled as he said, "Starting to feel like new again Doc. You're a miracle worker. Thanks for taking the time to heal it up for me, especially with our big friend over there pacing all over sickbay." He glanced over at the Andorian pacing in sickbay as he said that.

Tressa sighed, "Yes, I'll check in with the duty nurse before I speak with him again," she said. "You will need to keep this on for an hour, then we'll have a look and see if you've healed enough. You can wait here or in my office, or I can go find you in the Science Labs if you need keep working," she added, tapping the device. "Please don't take it off until I've seen you, we don't want any scarring."

Coleman thought for a minute before saying, "I can wait here, as long as I can borrow a padd for a little bit, so I can take a look at the Science reports. Got a PADD I can borrow for a little bit, please?" Coleman gave a sly little smile really quick.

"Certainly, right this way," she said, walking towards her office. He followed her into the small room. Tressa's professional space was tidy and organized; she abhored clutter and inefficiency.

"Make yourself comfortable, Commander. There are PADD's here," she said, pointing to a shelf, "And there is a replicator behind the chair. Speaking of which," she said as she tapped a button. A sandwich appeared in the replicator, next to a glass of liquid.

"Peanut butter and jelly and an iced coffee," she said with a smile as she took them from the machine. "This should keep me going for a while!"

He smiled and said, "Have fun with everything." Then, he started to work on some stuff on the PADD for a little while.
