Now she was back aboard the station Ariana was making a point of checking in with people she needed to catch up with, being on reduced duties now she’d hit the seven month mark in her pregnancy she was letting Olivia take a lot of her workload alongside Rol but she was keeping a presence in the Counselling offices incase anyone needed her.

Making her way to Sickbay she wanted to see Kah’lyn, having heard that the Romulan/Human hybrid was about to have her own pregnancy back to how it should be, after the temporary emergency transfer of her baby to an artificial womb. Now she was fit and well the transfer back to her own body would no doubt be a nervous, yet welcome event for Kah’lyn.

In Sickbay Kah’lyn was relaxing after the successful transfer of her baby, her beaming smile said just how much it truly meant to her. The fact that she now had a small round bump showing on her slim stomach was the most curious and amazing thing she was around 10 weeks now, rapidly approaching the end of her first trimester.

“Someone’s looking like a cat that got the cream!” Ariana grinned as she approached Kah’lyn’s bed. “How are you?”

“I am...wonderful thank you” Kah’lyn smiled warmly at Ariana. “I finally have my baby back where he, or she is supposed to be.”

“So I see” Ariana grinned. “Just wait until you’re lugging around a bump this size! You’ll be wishing you had something to take the weight off!”

“Where are my manners?” Kah’lyn motioned to a seat by her bed. “Please sit.”

Ariana smiled, walking over to the seat she gently sat down to take the weight off a little. “Thank you, so how are you doing?”

Kah’lyn offered a shrug of her shoulders. “I haven’t really stopped to dwell on it much. If I do I might just explode.”

Ariana nodded. “Downside of having a Romulan temper I guess.”

“Something like that” Kah’lyn nodded. “I wouldn’t be surprised if Admiral Bremer has me tossed off the station.

“I doubt that will happen Kah’lyn” Ariana looked at the Romulan hybrid. “What happened wasn’t your fault, your father and his crew are in custody and you’re back where you belong that’s what matters.”

Kah’lyn nodded. ‘That’s true. Can I ask you a favour?”

“Of course” Ariana nodded.

“Would you check on Croesus for me? Last I heard he was about to find out if a young Klingon boy was his son or not. He hasn’t said one way or the other since then. He’s been typically tight lipped.”

Ariana nodded. “I’ll drop by and see him, see if there’s anything I can do to help.”

“Thank you Ariana, I appreciate your help.” Kah’lyn smiled. “So how long do you have to go?”

“Another couple of months” Ariana rested her hand on her stomach. “I already feel like a space whale, but I’m enjoying the experience of having a trouble free pregnancy this time around.”

Kah’lyn smiled and nodded. “What are you having?”

“It’s a boy this time” Ariana grinned. “Stacie is getting a little brother, whether she’ll like it or not I guess I’ll have to wait and see.”

Kah’lyn stifled a yawn. “Excuse me! Sorry I didn’t mean to yawn at you.”

“Not to worry, I’ll leave you to get some rest.” Ariana slowly stood up. “If there’s anything you need, you know where to find me.”

Kah’lyn nodded affirmatively. “I do indeed, thanks for stopping by to see me Ariana.”

“My pleasure Kah’lyn” She smiled warmly. “We’ll talk again sometime.” With that she headed on her way.

Kah’lyn lay down to rest, hoping that Croesus would soon be back from his mission.
