As times and things were slowly returning to normal so did the flow of traffic into Starbase 400 air space. The 181st constantly launched to protect the station a
and planet.

Lt Col Chuck McDaniel led the first sortie of the evening out past the station to the perimeter one parsec out.

Three vessels were on his radar two if which were scheduled but the third was a genuine ufo.

" Unidentified flying vessel you have entered Federation space please acknowledge yourself," McDaniel directed.

The vessel did not reply but continued on it course.

The vessel resembled of all things a bright red butter fly and was the equivalent size of a bird of prey.

Entering the perimeter McDaniel intercepted the craft and led it back out to open space.

In as fast a time the craft warped away as fast as it had come availing McDaniel something to report and potentially someone or thing to keep an eye out on.
