Mission: Episode 108 – Tragedies, Fortunes, and an Endgame
Location: Saunder's Ship/Dreggs/USS Cutlass
Timeline: MD3 - 1900hrs

ON:

Roebuck and Carter made their way to the cargo bay.

"That's Saunders." Roebuck whispered to Carter.

Saunders was looking over a container, typing in commands on a panel.

Roebuck pointed to a side pathway, then motioned for Carter to go that direction to get behind Saunders.

Carter took a few moments to get into position where he could cut off Saunders from escaping.

Once Carter was in position, Roebuck stood and leveled his phaser at Saunders. "Saunders! Don't move!"

Saunders turned, saw Roebuck, then turned to escape and saw Carter between him and the door with a phaser pointed at him.

"Drop your weapon and put your hands behind your head, do it now." Roebuck ordered.

Saunders dropped his weapon, then slowly raised his hands. "Roebuck, I don't know how you got aboard the ship, but I didn't try to kill the President." He paused a moment, then lowered his voice, "I'm working for Section 31, trying to find out who La’tal's buyer is for the specs of the Inquiry class starship."

"Matthews told me himself he saw you fire at him." Roebuck replied.

"I did, only to force my crew in pulling out and warping away from Earth." Saunders replied.

"Why are you going to Caldonia?" Carter asked.

"We have fifty liters of biomemetic gel in here, it was part of our payment for getting the specs. The buyer wants that back until we deliver the specs. Once we do, we'll get the gel back, a thousand bricks of latinum, specs for the new Romulan Type 25 Disrupter cannon, and encryption codes for access to the Artifact." Saunders explained.

"With the gel and access to Borg tech, someone could engineer one hell of a bio-mechanical weapon." Carter replied.

"You catch on quick." Saunders replied.

"Who's the buyer on Caldonia?" Roebuck asked.

"I don't know, but he's former Starfleet. La'tal doesn't seem to know him either, but the score was too much for her to pass up." Saunders replied.

"We can't let this gel stay in play." Carter said.

"Cutlass, are you still monitoring." Roebuck said.

"Yes sir, and we're following you, cloaked." Clayton replied after a moment.

"What do you have in mind?" Saunders asked.

"We beam your crew to our brig, the gel to our cargo bay, then you run back to Dreggs and we take down La'tal." Roebuck explained.

"She'll kill me on sight." Saunders replied.

"Would you rather me do the shooting?" Roebuck replied.
