Mission: Episode 108 – Tragedies, Fortunes, and an Endgame
Location: Saunder's Ship/Dreggs
Timeline: MD3 - 1800hrs

Roebuck, Carter, and Kanan were able to stow away on Saunders' ship as it departed Dreggs. The Ju'Day was a small ship, usually with a crew of seven or eight, but they had been known to carry nearly forty.

The threesome had managed to get into a small compartment. Kanan accessed a wall panel and tapped in a few commands. "There's only eleven people on board. Two Nausicans, an Andorian, a Romulan, two Klingons, and five Humans."

"Only eleven." Carter commented.

"Could be worse." Roebuck replied. "Where are they?"

Kanan tapped in another command, "The Klingons and three Humans are in the cockpit. The Nausicans, Romulan, one Human, and Andorian are all in the engineering area. The other Human are in a bunkroom just down the corridor."

"Let's see if we can find out what's going on." Roebuck checked his phaser.

"Corridor is clear." Kanan added.

Carter opened the door and looked right, Roebuck then took left, then started down the corridor. Kanan followed him with Carter taking the rear.

"Next on the right." Kanan said.

Roebuck walked passed the door, then turned back to face it. Kanan tapped the door panel and it opened. Roebuck rushed in. The Human was standing beside a bed getting dressed. Roebuck grabbed his head and slammed it against the bulkhead, then threw the man to the deck as Kanan and Carter rushed in and shut the door.

"Where's Saunders!?" Roebuck yelled as he pointed his phaser at the man.

"Who are you?" The man replied.

"Tell me where Saunders is! Do it now!" Roebuck replied.

"I don't..." the man started to reply, but Roebuck shot him in the leg causing him to drop to the desk.

"Ah! I don't know!" The man yelled out.

"Where is this ship going? What's your mission." Carter asked.

The man held his leg where it had been hit by the phaser beam and burned. "We're meeting someone on Caldonia, he's got information Saunders needs. I don't know what for. I swear."

"Why did you try to assassinate the President?" Roebuck asked.

"We didn't!" The man replied as he tried to suddently stand up, reaching for a phaser on his bed.

Roebuck instinctively fired at the man, hitting him in his chest. Carter leaned his and checked the man's pulse.

"He's dead."

"I had the phaser on stun." Roebuck replied. "Damnit."

Carter checked the man for any equipment he had. Opening his shirt, he found the man had an chest implant of some kind. Roebuck's phaser beam had hit it and the overload killed man.

Carter handed Kanan a small PADD.

Kanan tapped a few buttons. "It's encrypted, I'd need your ship's database to crack it."

"We need to find Saunders." Roebuck said. "Best bet is the cockpit."

They slid the dead man under his bed before leaving, then slowly made their way to flight deck area and the ship's cockpit. Just outside they tapped a wall panel.

"We've left the asteroid field and are at warp four. There's still five lifesigns present." Kanan explained.

Roebuck and Carter raised their weapons. "Open the door." Roebuck said.

The door opened and Roebuck and Carter burst through firing. Roebuck dropped one Klingon before they knew they were being fired on. Carter then hit one of the Humans. The other Klingon pulled a d'k tag and sliced at Carter. He cut his arm but before he could do anything else Kanan stunned him.

"Lower your weapons, do it now!" Roebuck yelled.

"Who the hell are you?" One of the Humans replied.

Roebuck looked over both men, then at the stunned Human. "Where's Saunders?"

"Who's that?" One of the Humans asked. Carter didn't like the answer so he shot the man.

"Alright!" The other man said. "He's down in engineering, then he was going to the cargo hold."

Kanan tapped in commands setting an auto pilot. He then scanned the ship. "I have a Human moving toward the cargo bay now."

Roebuck stunned the last Human. "Stay here, keep an eye on them."

Kanan nodded.
