With the Tactical Operations meeting over and the situation clear that there would be more action ahead in what seemed to be a never-ending war, things were very slowly starting to get back to normal on Starbase 400, allowing Jack to work with a team of junior officers on re-aligning the EPS conduits on deck fifteen when he received a call via his combadge.

He had started to feel some relative ease begin to crawl back into his work as he and his various Engineering teams were running through the repairs and required maintenance and he also found that being home again was also helping his mood.

"Bremer to Solomon."

=/\= "Solomon here sir, go ahead," =/\= Jack answered as he stopped work for a moment.

"Meet me aboard the USS Juno please," Mike said.

=/\= "Aye sir, I'm on my way, Solomon out," =/\= Jack replied after tapping his combadge. looking across at Ensing Talon, Jack handed over the Hydrospanner. "Carry on Ensign, when you're done here, move down to Deck twenty-eight, its a similar issue there."

"Aye sir," replied Talon. Jack made his way to the nearest turbolift access and tapped his combadge. "Ops, this is commander Solomon, please bean me over to the USS Juno," he requested. Soon after he received the acknowledgement, Jack arrived on the Transporter Pad in Transporter Room Two onboard the Juno.

Jack stepped down off the Transporter Pad with his tool kit in hand and stood to attention. "Commander Solomon reporting as ordered sir, what needs doing on the Juno?" he asked.

"There's some work on the bridge I need you to personally handle for me," Mike said and led the way to the corridor.

Jack looked at the Admiral and nodded following him out of Transporter Room Two and down the corridor. "May I ask what you need doing on board that requires my own personal touch, sir?" Jack inquired as they walked down the corridor towards a turbolift.

"I did have the Juno on my worklist to look at later today, however, I'm happy to bump her up the schedule," Jack offered as they got inside the turbolift. "Seeing as we're on board."

Mike smirked. "I figured this wouldn't wait with the upcoming operation."

Once they arrived on the Bridge, Mike looking around at the handful of officers working. He waited until Solomon was fully on the bridge and the turbolift doors closed. "All hands, attention to orders. From Starfleet Headquarters, Office of the Admiralty, to Commander Jack Solomon. As of this date, you are requested and required to take command of USS Juno. Signed, Fleet Admiral Mike K'Wor Bremer, Stardate 74391.6. Computer, transfer all command codes to Commander Solomon."

The computer beeped then replied, "Command codes transferred."

Jack stood to attention as he heard the Admiral read out the orders and couldn't help but let a big smile loose as the Admiral completed his notice. Takin hold of the PADD with one hand, Jack replied "I relieve you, sir. Thank you, sir." Jack stepped back as the computer confirmed the transfer of command codes and orders were complete.

Whilst the officers on the Bridge who were working away until a few minutes ago stood applauding what had just taken place, Jack couldn't help but feel a little down enter his mind as he thought of the Ark Royal and the act that Lt. Rhae had taken to ave his and the lives of the crew.

After a moment, Jack smiled. "Vesta Class, well this will take some getting used to, but I promise you, sir, I'll have her ready and shipshape in the same manner as the Ark Royal was."

"I know you will," Mike said as he handed a PADD to Solomon. "There's something else on that PADD that might interest you." Mike smirked as he left the bridge."

Jack looked down at the PADD as he found the section the Admiral was talking about. Reading further as he looked down, Jack read aloud:

"Special dispensation from the Chief of Starfleet Operations to change the name from Juno to Ark Royal-A," he said before looking around with a big smile on his face as the others went back to work. For Jack, that sealed it. Walking over to the centre seat in front of the Ops Console, he sat down and took a look around him, taking in the sight of what was now Starbase 400's newest Engineering Operations and Support starship.

Despite his fondness for the original Ark Royal and her being an Ambassador Class starship, Jack was now ready to embrace what this Vesta Class starship could do and provide in future operations and fleet operations. With the Fleet about to head out on its newest mission, there was one thing left to do.

Looking down as the pad on the right arm, Jack sent out the following message:

"All former Ark Royal Senior Officers report to the USS Ark Royal-A, NCC-82603-A, Vesta Class Starship. Orders from Commander Jack Solomon, arrive in the Conference Room." Jack sat back after sending the message and took in the atmosphere. He had something to tell Deela over dinner tonight, that was for certain.

Within the next thirty minutes, Jack was sat waiting in the Conference Room as the senior staff who served with him on the previous Ark Royal were now seated. Jack stood up and walked over to a wall panel where he activated it and the screen showed the schematic of the Vesta Class Starship.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome aboard the USS Ark Royal-A," Jack began. "As of thirty minutes ago, this ship is now the primary Engineering Operations and Support starship assigned to Starbase 400 and your second assignments when not on duty onboard the starbase."

Jack looked around seeing them all looking at the screen and at himself as he carried on his briefing.
